It was a terrible wet year...but this past month we could use an inch of rain..our lawn has dry spots. That was looking like a start of mold on our house and I sure did not want to have that problem..it can not be healthy. I do love them so!<br /><br />No mold here on this sunny hillside but our son who bought our old house that sat in a valley had to have the house pressure washed recently. <br /><br />Still no working computer? Maybe it's the type of siding that is used now as opposed to when you were a kid. The flowers are beautiful. I feel like we haven't had much of a summer with all of the rain. We have been working as a team painting the upstairs. Ugh! I do not like to paint at all anymore. I told my Shug this house will not get painted again in my lifetime! I think our weather's wetter is the reason I have noticed all the yuck on homes. Of course we get big breezes out here, so there wasn't any on our house, but I could actually see the start of something on the end near the trees. It's gone now and the siding is so clean. That corn across the road is so tall it blocks my views till harvest. Sheri, I had some good luck with my potted plants this year. Of course I water and deadhead them often. I did not want to use our power washer on the siding, for fear it would cause damage. This is not the first time I have washed the porch front off. It can get dirty from all the farming around here. Ever look at house fronts that are on busy streets...they are dirty mostly near the roof line. I am going to try some small sunflowers next year . What a job to do that kind of a washdown. We use a pressure sprayer because we get mold on our patios on the north side of the house.<br /><br />The flowers are lovely.
