This year is the 125th anniversary, of the dedication of our beautiful statue of liberty. I just learned that myself, when I visited Pat's "Mille Fiori Favoriti " blogsite. Pat shows some really wonderful photos of New York and surrounding areas. But this is my own shot of the lady, as we cruised back into the harbor. I really want to go inside the and climb those stairs. Gee my bucket list is about a mile long. I better get to packing ,LOL.
Can you believe that I am a native New Yorker and have never visited the Statue of Liberty? I've sailed past her many times, flown over her, seen her from the shore -- but I'll probably never visit her; she's just part of our landscape here! But she's a grand old broad, and we love her.

I love seeing my favorite lady in the harbor. For several years my view at work was the harbor and the Statue of Liberty. What a gift!

ReplyDeleteI love the Lady. I have never been to NY other than a layover. I did get to see her from the air. So beautiful. I was so afraid that the she would be hit on 9/11.
