Ted's Woodworking....

I said I would post about the things Ted has been making in the shop. here is lots of trinket dishes, and toothpick holders.
Some of the little lidded things are for pins and needles. Ted has been mixing up his little scrap pieces of wood. He hates to waste them.
This dish's rim  is made with "purple heart" , that's  the name of the wood. It's very expensive. So you can see why Ted doesn't want to waste  it. They say that busy hands are happy hands. xo

  1. Oh my gosh! I remember bowls and little containers. Lots and lots and lots of them! (Another wood worker's wife called them 'little pots'. -gigggles-)

Must show the purple wood to husband, who has been a wood worker, all his life. I don't remember seeing such before. I'm sure he will be interested. :-)

    Happy Spring!

  4. What beautiful dishes! And I noticed on your sidebar that you love English movies with Gwyneth Paltrow and love To Kill a Mockingbird. Me too!!! I have watched other versions of Emma and they're all imposters. I am not a crier, but Mr. Knightley had me nearly sobbing when he reprimanded Emma for the way she treated Miss Bates. Anyway, Gwyneth Paltrow was also amazing in 'Perfect Murder.' How about your favorite Sense & Sensibility? Love the version with Hattie Morahan and Dan Stevens (long before he became Matthew Crawley. :-) ANYway, Im following you on Feedly reader. Hope you'll stop in!

  5. Hi Susie,
I don't know if it's my computer or yours, but the last two posts I couldn't see pics on your posts. Of your sister or your St. Patty's day deco. Who knows.....
Your husband does nice woodwork. Are you getting ready for the market this summer?
    Happy Spring! (sucky weather!)
