Celebrating Home...

My niece gave a little party for decorating your home or yourself. It's a company called Celebrating Home...it used be Home Interiors.  There were many cute items for your home decorating . There were  scarves and purses . Lots of jewelry , tote bags and carrying cases. Candles also.
When you reach my age, you usually own lots of jewelry....lots. Some good and some costume.
Totes a plenty. I am willing to help my niece.  I have also been trying not to buy just to be buying. I know you understand what I mean. The prices of the products were reasonable. The shipping was very high , almost a half or third of what the item cost. I did order a pair of  reading glasses, as we can always use those.  Way more than I would pay any other time.
I remember having tupperware parties. My gosh , many of us went to those just to be going somewhere. In today's time it seems an inconvenience to have or go to this type of party. Mainly because people go out all the time. To stores that carrying everything under the sun. The home party seems a thing of the past. :):) xo

  3. I remember going to tupperware parties with mother! She loved her cake keeper and would always "burp" the lid to keep the cake fresh!

  4. I always loved tupperware parties but home parties now would be hard to have because people are so busy. Hard to get ladies together. And shipping is outrageous. I love Etsy but I have to really watch the shipping prices. Hugs!

  5. I hear you, Susie- I never go to those parties anymore- I have way too much stuff...well, unless it is a relative and then I go to support them.

I do remember those tupperware parties. I think they were as much for socializing as they were for product...and there was always a nice little "party" where you sat and chatted with friends.

Hope you have a wonderful day- xo Diana

  6. I used to love Tupperware parties in the 70s. I think I bought every piece. I avoid those home parties now, though.

  9. I know, I feel obligated to buy things that I never would just to be supportive. I like the new swap parties where you just trade items that you no longer want.Great fun and no cost!

  12. It sure seems that way. I used to love those HI parties! I had so much of it, used to pick it up at rummage sales so much cheaper, too. People just don't gather in homes anymore. They head for the mall. Times are a changin'.

  13. Hi Susie, The last party I went to was a 31 Party ending up with a purse. My daughter is having a jewelry party coming up. I know I will go to support her, but I don't know about buying anything. If it the gal that was next to me at the craft show doing it for her, I thought it was expensive. We did have fun at the Tuperware Parties even the Pamper Chef later. Have a wonderful week. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.

  14. Hahaha, I could totally relate, Susie. I remember the tupperware parties and we loved to go just to be with other ladies and have some fun. Your niece's party looks nice, and if I was there, I would have bought something hehehe. My friend has a holiday party around Christmas every year, and she sells jewelry and there are other booths too. I love it, and have the funnest time. I think people may not like these parties because some of the items are expensive, and they are trying to cut back, which I understand. Glad you had a good time.

Ooooh, I would love looking at the candles.

    Love,
    ~Sheri
