This Is Saturday....

It's Saturday and I am feeling much better. You know that 2 week cold thing....it's been about 10 days now, that I have fought this cold. I should be well enough for the 4th of July family picnic. I am excited about that. Emma will be coming home with me then, for a few days stay. So I better be well. :):)
Here's the corn field across the road. The old saying around here is, knee high by the 4th of July...then corn is right on schedule in growth. Well this corn is waist high. This is a great county for growing corn and soybeans.
Today, Ted is at the farmer's market and I am staying home to catch up with my chores. You know a man  can be sick and take naps and sit in his recliner. Oh yes, I have seen this first hand. LOL... But a woman still has to cook, clean and do laundry. Well I did let the vacuuming go, now it's past time for that. So I gotta go. Enjoy this beautiful day. xo

  2. Glad you are feeling better!!!!!

As far as women having to keep on going, when sick... Hahhhhhhh... NOT in this household. When I was so sick with the cold, he did EVERYTHING needed. Meaning shopping, cooking, etc.

I really can't understand husbands who do not see marriage as 50%-50%.

And when one person is sick, it is 100%-0%.

Sorry for the mini-rant, but it's a sore spot with "Auntie."

  5. Hope you feel great by the 4th. We always have gone by that 'knee high by the fourth of July' thing too. don't know if we're going to make it this year, though, cuz we had such a late spring.

Don't overdo it - and enjoy Emma, as I know you will.

  8. It is good to hear that you are feeling better, Susie. Take it easy, though. Yes, you are right about how a woman just has to keep going! I'm going to change that habit the next time I'm "under the weather.":-) That doesn't happen very often, though.

  9. Susie- You KNOW that your instruction book that God gave you said that you need to keep going no matter HOW SICK you are and that the men MUST take to the bed with THE WORST cold that has ever been known to mankind while YOU take care of them.

Have fun with Emma-and I am glad you are feeling better- xo Diana

  11. Life is always better when feel GOOD! I spent many years 'sickly' and HAD to keep going. For many, MANY years I suffered from migraine headaches. The older I get the healthier I seem to feel!
Men are wimps! We all know that!
