Cows And Fish.......

A form of surf and turf.  LOL. The big black cows are back in the pasture down the road. This is a photo from last year. I saw the farmer go by yesterday and this morning I can see the cows along the ditch line. They look huge.
This yucky fish picture is also from last year. Ted , all his brothers, and one BIL, all took off fishing this morning.  Ted will not bring home any catfish as he doesn't like the taste of them. They will be going to Reelfoot Lake ,  Tenn.
So I will have a few days to myself.  As much as we love our men folk, when they are gone, it's like a mini-vacation. Eat when I want, go when I want, do what I want. :):)
Hope all of you are enjoying your weekend. The weather has been decent.  xo

    1. Laurie, The fellows will fish all week. They clean the fish each evening and vacuum pack them, put in the fridge and freeze when they get home. They catch Crappie, blue-gill and some catfish. The fish is split equally....but Ted will not bring home catfish.:):) Hope you are enjoying your new home and learning the wildlife that is there. xoxo,Susie

  8. LOL- that's our version of Surf and Turf, too. I don't like the yellow bellied catfish, just the channel cat. The yellow bellied tastes like mud. I am glad you are getting some time to do what you want when you want. It was a good weekend for that! How's your daughter?
