Flowering Trees.....

These flowering crabapples are in front of a cute little house, Right on the main street going into town. I love how very bright they are, and just about the same size.
This is the lilac bush(tree) , that my sister and I stood near just so we could smell that wonderful scent. This picture just doesn't show how very blue looking the flowers are.
This white lilac is in the back yard where I grew up. Mom was so happy when she planted this bush. Daddy pulled his car into the yard once to wash and wax it and backed into this bush.....mom was not at all happy with him.  Dad staked it back up and it grew fine.
This kid's playhouse looked so cute, I had to get a photo. It has a wee flowering tree of it's own. I think the children who lived here are grown and gone now. Their father keeps it nice even now.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. Don't forget your mothers on Sunday. If you still have your mother you are blessed. Hug her for me.  xo

  1. Hmm. Yeah, I wouldn't be very happy with him either for backing into my lilac! Can't wait until our flowering crab and lilacs are in bloom. With all this rain we're getting things should start popping pretty soon. Have a wonderful weekend, Susie!

  4. These are all so beautiful. I like the way the little playhouse is still maintained. My neighbour has a lilac tree that hangs over our fence. I take in great lungfuls of the scent when I am getting in and out of the car.

    1. Tracey, I swear lilacs are intoxicating. I like them better outside just scenting the breezes, more than in a vase in the house. Happy Mother's Day to you. xoxo,Susie

Love the little fairy garden post. Too cute. I have thought about doing one, and need to gather small things to get one started.

    1. I could have shown more pictures if my computer loaded faster. The Bradford pear trees have already bloomed and leafed out. I know my daughter Kathy is coming down from Elkhart this weekend. So I think I'll get to see all four of my daughters. Which is what I love. being with them. Hope you have a great Sunday also. xoxo,Susie

  14. I love blooming trees! I wonder if the blue one is a ceanothnus...I can't be sure of the spelling, but it looks very much like the one I know from England! And I know a lilac tree from England too, but we don't have them in Georgia, but I love the fragrance!
