Extra Photos....

Just a few shots form the French Market at Horton's, earlier this month. This month is almost gone !!
This was a seashell and stars display. I like the fake boxwood wreath.
How about this wreath of lace and burlap, with a little banner of Parisian tags .
I had to show these green canning jars. They say Ball on them...now I am telling you, I am older than dirt, and this is the first time I have ever seen jars that color. I also loved the green on the dish towels.
Yesterday was very quiet once Savannah's mother and her aunts came and went.  Savannah was happy to be going home to her birds. dogs, and rabbits. Her rabbits had 8 bunnies while she was gone. LOL. She a quiet girl. I told her to relax and enjoy her life, it was okay to talk. :):) Her father once said , the most he has ever heard her talk was with me...well that was when she was small. I know she has a blast with  her friends and talks up a blue streak.
It is cool here today, just in the 50's at this time. Not to get over mid 70's. We turned our AC off. Oh happy day on that. I want to enjoy no heat running and no AC. :):) Wishing you a great day. XO

    1. I don't know why I didn't get those jars. I do love the color. Hope you can find, as this is the first I have ever seen. I think Patty of Patty's Pretty Things , gave some to her daughter to use on her porch as lighting. xoxo,Susie

  4. Susie,
I love those green canning jars. I've never seen them that color either. It sounds like Savannah can talk with you easily. Sometimes all it takes is one person to open up to. You are so special, Susie, and I can see why she loves you so.

    1. Sheri, I have got to get me some of those jars. LOL. I have the aqua colored ones. I have told Savannah she can call me or tell her mom she wants to talk with me. I think I'll start writing letters to her. Just to keep her encouraged. xoxo,Susie

  5. Susie, I wanted to tell you, Yes, those mermaids were painted on glass. It reminded me of the girls, so I took a picture of it. But you can see the reflection of things in the background because it was glass haha.

    1. Sheri, I did see reflections. I like when I see things that remind me of my girls. Once my husband said , after seeing a bunch of pumpkins with faces painted on them hey look girls there you are. Oh they just booed and hissed him.so much after that. xoxo,Susie,

  6. I didn't know they had a garden center at Horton's. All the more reason to go. I asked a few natives at the lake if they knew where Tipton is...we're in Michiana so we know northwestern Indiana pretty well. No one knew!

Savannah sounds like a great little girl. And yes, they talk to their friends much more than we think! :)

    1. Blondie, Tipton is fifty miles north of Indianapolis. Horton's has a very nice green house.
Savannah is a good little girl. I tell her to not let any one talk you into any thing that would make her mom and dad sad.LOL. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  7. I love this place I have never known, Horton's. I still don't know what it is. Is it a flea market or a chain store? Either way, it is awesome!

    1. Horton's is a locally owned hardware store with a green house and some flea market things also. They sell garden plants , starts, hardware, paint and custom blinds. 3-4 times a year they have French Flea Market, with many venders from all over. They will be having another market in the fall and one at Christmas. Too hard to resist some of the Christmas things. :):) xoxo,Susie

  9. Such a beautiful place to shop, I could spend hours there.
I love the boxwood wreath, it looks so real. I think the Ball jars are being manufactured in special colors lately , in celebration of so many year being in business ?
Your weather sounds as pleasant as ours has been today...just glorious.

  10. Actually all I can think about is getting back to Martha's Vineyard in Sept. That was tipped off by your mentioning the pleasant weather. After yesterdays tornado, about six miles away, I can't wait to get away.
I have to stay away from places like Hortons.

    1. Boston Boy, My gosh, I thought of you this morning as I heard about a tornado close to Boston. Wow that was very close. Hope everyone is okay there. I would love another trip to Martha's vineyard myself. I really liked the place that you and Arlene stayed at. Maybe you could squeeze in another short trip before all the sweet weather's gone. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  11. I've never seen green ball jars either! but they are cute, aren't they! Did you buy one, Susie? Isn't funny how kids change as they grow? I hate that summer is going by so fast. We have kids coming up this weekend. So I'll keep hanging on to the season as tight as I can!
    Hugs to you dear friend.
    Love ya.

    1. Hi Debby, I just told Nellie that you said those jars are a special Edison and are at Target. I like that color , they could be worked into a country Christmas décor. Hope you are feeling good and getting some offers on the house. xoxo,Susie

    1. Gert, I really missed the girls last night. I told Ted, "we have no children, now." He laughs at me. There have been times where I felt like pulling my hair out when Emma first spent lots of time here...then I would cry when she was gone. That is why we have children early in life, not in our old age. LOL. xoxo,Susie
