Sunday Drive In Town...

This is a hydrangea that I spotted in the side yard of a business in town. It has blue and pink flower heads on the same plant. It looks like this ne could use some clean up.
This is the rose garden in our city park. It has had major clean up, as we are celebrating 100 years of our park.
This is one of the flower beds at the entrance of the park. The Goose Bean Garden Club has volunteers to go to the park and help with the flowers, plantings and clean up. Every thing looks so clean and groomed for this week.
Hope all of you are having a good week so far. We have had some storms, lots of rain. Just thinking maybe by the 4th it will be all clear.:):)   xo

  2. Lovely gardens. Sure look better than mine this year. I didn't know a hydrangea could have two colors at once. Have a great Fourth week.

    1. This is one of the reason I wanted to post a photo of that hydrangea...I have never known you could have both pink and blue on one plant, because it takes two different types of soil. Or so I thought ! My garden would look nicer if I could just muster up more strength when it hot...but that drains me. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

    1. Sherry, Oh yes, we are also hoping for a dry day on Friday. Enough of this rain. I have two hydrangeas and they are not going to be winning any blue ribbons in my lifetime. LOL. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  8. I was outside pulling weeds and noticed two pink hydrangeas in the side yard. I noticed Horton's of Tipton is having something in the next few weeks and I'm going to try to get there if I can. The yard was so wet this morning from the storms last night. Enjoy your evening.

  10. The flower beds look pretty and ready for a 100 year celebration. The hydrangea looks better than mine. I just planted one this spring and it looks like it's on its last legs. I just don't have any luck with growing them and I think they are so pretty.

    1. Cheryl, I want a dogwood tree. I have grown one for only one year. I am not a great gardener, just keep trying that's all. I think if we could have some normal weather through the year, we could all grow something pretty. I wanted to leave a comment about your flowers. I wanted to say that sunflower already looks great, can't wait to see it open....I couldn't get the comment section to open. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
