Watercolors.....

This top photo is of what we are  to paint. The class was small. I liked that. Two school girls , and 4 women.
This is my finished painting.  Not exactly like the picture we had as a model.  I think one of the grandkids will like it.:):) You know Savannah will, she's a bird lover.
When I got to the library, I paid the teacher 15 dollars. She furnished paints, paper, and mat. She was open for any questions. She did give me some clues about aligning .  Next time I may take my own brushes. That will be in October. Because, in September our town has our annual Pork Festival and the library will be closed.  It was a fun time, I enjoyed the class..so I'll go back in October.
Today, I am having a brunch with my old school class mates. We may have two this month. I am wishing all of you a great day. XO

    1. Thank you Laurie, I really wondered what you would think, since you work in watercolors. I may be practicing now. I could not believe it only took me from 1:00 to 2:30 to do the whole thing and sign up and talk awhile. So it's obvious that I am just dragging my butt to paint. LOL. xoxo,Susie

    1. I think we never give ourselves credit enough. I know I no real artist, but I have the desire to paint...if someone can teach us, I think we can learn....hey, monkeys are trainable. LOL. xoxo,Susie

    2. My sister was an art minor in college and she takes classes from time to time. Your bird looks more natural than the one you were supposed to copy from. Good job! Enjoy your weekend Suzi.

    3. Hi Missy, Thank you. I have always loved art. But never really had any training other than painting a couple years with my friend from work. So any time I can get a lesson , I need to take it. I feel as thought the teacher actually should have painted along with us and explained things as we went. But I am sure she's painted those pics so many times. LOL. Hope your weekend is nice too. xoxo,Susie

    1. Thank you. Oh my goodness, when we all get together, there's a lot of talking.:) Today we laughed about, which maybe we should have cried...one girl said a friend of ours got remarried, it was the second marriage for the man and woman and between them they had 40 grands. YIKES. How would you do Christmas. I would feel like a leader of a small nation with that many grandkids.:):) Enjoy your weekend, xoxo,Susie

  14. Oh, that looks really nice, Susie. I always wanted to paint or draw, but never had any talent in it. My kids can all draw, and I wonder where they get it from haha. Keep painting, ok? You have a talent. :~)
