Day Out....

This is the golf course, from the park side of the creek.   It has looked so pretty out there this summer. I love thinking, wouldn't it be nice to have a big lawn like that. LOL
This is the creek flowing through our park. It can flood when we have monsoon rains. The park dept. has been cleaning the creek of debris . Old fencing, chunks of concrete, and tree limbs.  The trees will be turning soon. I love to go to our park any season.
Yesterday was my 4th time on the phone with the phone company, they are our internet carrier. I had to call the repairmen of this computer again...something they did would not let us stay linked in ...of curse each group blames the other. One time, I just sat and cried on the phone . .  I had to apologize to the phone man. He was kind and the best one I have had contact with through these past 4 days. He said I should come to them first about my computer problems...because I have that service. Well just kill me now !!  Here I paid 200 dollars for the repairs, from the computer company....plus now I  owe them 45 dollars for them getting me back on line ...why??? I feel like I am paying them to repair  some thing they did wrong. I had access to things before that I can not do now... I could load my photos to my files and now I can not. I am not liking this at all.  This computer is starting to cost twice as much with all the other things being done. I had to order a new modem that will cost 2 dollars a month for life. :( Big bummer )
I sure hope all of you are doing better than I am this weekend.    Thanks for letting me whine. :):) XO

  1. That is a beautiful park. So very sorry about your internet problems. We had a similar situation when we moved; it just about drove us crazy!

  2. I feel your pain, Susie. My internet still goes out with a new modem and they charge to come and tell me why. The why is their crummy service. xo Laura

    1. Bee, I hate calling any of the companies...you have to listen to commercials for 1/2 hour. Then they try to just smooth it over....oh it just makes me totally crazy. xoxo,Susie

  4. I am sorry you are having problems, Susie. Our Internet server is Verizon Wireless. We bought the device, so we don't have to pay monthly rental, and it picks up a signal wherever Verizon has service. I hope everything is settled for you now.

My husband would LOVE to be out on that golf course!

    1. Nellie, I know golfs can't seem to get enough golfing. I know some men who go out every nice day. Well if they are walking it's good. My husband keeps talking about bundling...getting tv phone and internet in one company. I am not for that. YIKES. Hope you had a fun day. xoxo,Susie

  5. I store everything (computer-wise) here at home. Mostly photos. I used to pay my bills online until my previous computer bit the dust. I mistrust all the big conglomerates. Those green scenes will soon change, I do love fall at it's peak.

  6. Boston Boy,
I never do anything to do with money on my computer. I don't trust security of any computer. I just wish I knew more about running this darn thing. Oh dear, I am sure you are right about the green scenes turning fall colors soon. Today temps were nice , but it was gloomy all day till about 2 hours ago. Now it's pretty. I tried to sit on the porch and got two mosquitoe bites...blast...I hate getting bit . Hope you have a wonderful Sunday. Take care. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  8. Debby, I felt like i was paying them to correct something they did while they had my computer. And because of that I had to call our phone company 4 different times in 4 days. You always are left on the line from 15 to 30 minutes waiting for a rep to help you. It' is maddening. Hope you had a good weekend so far. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  10. Louis Dean bought a membership to the Geek Squad and it has saved us money and our sanity. Plus we bake cookies for them and they have gone above and beyond what they are 'supposed' to do for us. If one doesn't have a young person who is computer savy - I recommend the Geek Aquad!

  12. I just got caught up on your blog. Glad your Dr. visit was ok. When we didn't hear from your for awhile I was concerned about your health! And of course, stress can be a health issue...especially when it comes to computers. I have said it many times, I hate Windows 8, and I don't care much for the most recent laptop I bought. It's 1 1/2 years old and just today the battery no longer will charge. So now I have to plug it in to use it, which makes it a desktop right? Jeesh.
I know how you feel about the Pork festival and not going. We used to do almost every downtown event when we lived in town. Even the Haynes Apperson parade. Not anymore (sad face) I miss it. I guess traditions come and go, and the main thing is to keep them coming when the old ones go!

    1. Cindy, I sounds as if you know exactly why I am upset with my computer. Is any of this technology worth a hoot?? It's suppose to be fast and more accurate..me arse. Why do we have to wait on the phone for a real person to help us. I guess i may get to go to the fest next year. xoxo,Susie

  13. Oh Susie, I'm so sorry you're going through this. With all the money you are putting out to repair your computer, I am wondering if it would be cheaper to just buy a new one. I just bought a new one. It takes awhile to get used to, but it's so much better now.

And you never whine and are always so positive, so I will listen to you whine any time haha.

Have a very nice week, Susie. You are such a dear.

    love,

    1. Sheri, This is anew computer..We got it in the fall of last year. It's windows 8 and the tech was to simplify it for me and it has actually made it more complicated and erased or lost things I needed. That is one of the reason I have been so up-set. Then After I paid 200 dollars the tech charge me another 45 to get on line again. Something so fishy about that. Wish I had gone with the Geek Squad. xoxo,Susie
