More Fall Pictures....

I really like this wreath. Chubby little owl just makes it so special. Spotted this at a Horton's last year.
Some of the trees in the park. I love our park so much. I like it best in spring and fall.
This is one of the downtown parking lots and this picture is from last year also.
Some corn harvesting from last year. Since it rained the past two days , on and off , the harvesting is on hold for now.
This is the field across the road, this year it is soybeans. Most fields are rotated from corn to beans  and visa versa. Some times a few of the farmers around here will bale the corn stubble. It makes bedding for animals and they can chew on it also.
No I am not a farmer. I always wanted to be outstanding in my field...but not that way. LOL.  I wish all the farmers well this year. Seems like a good crop year in these parts.
Enjoy this nice day everyone. XO

    1. Hi June, It has rained on and off again today. That's putting the farmers in a holding position. They have had the best summer weather for crops this year. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

    1. Patty, It has turned cold here, and our foliage isn't as nice as it should be yet. They say the leaves are falling as fast as they turn. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  9. You certainly live in a different place than I do. I've never been to middle America. There are open spaces around here but we're still packed tightly together pretty tight.
The trees are starting to turn around here, but it's nothing to write home about at least for now

    1. Boston Boy...it's fairly flat around here, so once the crops are picked you can see forever. I notice some leaves are falling almost as fast as they are turning. Just a different autumn. I am afraid we may have an early winter. Boo- hiss to that. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  12. Hope you've had a good Tuesday, Susie. We had two inches of rain in our rain gauge this morning! There was more rain during the day, too. Perhaps that will help the leaves change color better. xo Nellie

    1. Nellie, That is a lot of rain. I think the cooler temps will help with the foliage colors. I always thought it was frost that kick started color. Now I do not know. I need to google that :):) Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  14. I love all your Fall pictures, Susie. I grew up on a farm but we never planted soybeans. We rotated the corn with rye or sorghum though.

Those trees are all beautiful. xo Diana

  15. Looking at these corn fields, it reminds me of the time we visited grandma's farm in Iowa. She had rows and rows of corn, and she made us the most delicious meals every day. Your trees at the park are beautiful. I can see all the colors of Autumn coming through in them. It's nice that you enjoy your park like I do, Susie. I don't think many people realize how peaceful it can be, ya know?

    love,
