It's Coming.....

This is how it looked yesterday. Wet and foggy. I am not a huge fan of fog...well actually when I drive in dense fog I feel sick to my tummy. Nerves I know, I have been this way since I first got my licenses. I have driven in blinding snows. rains, ice, but it's the fog that gets to me. Today we are to get some snow, and I think it will be here for the rest of winter. LOL
Yesterday just started off raining. You can see that the grass is still very green around here. I can get the blues if I have too many gray days in a row.  So I will be going out and about today just to get in some walking. I think I may be shoveling snow this week. That will be my exercise.  I do it in little shifts. Even young people should not shovel too long or too much at a time. This old girl knows better.
I have been missing some of our blog buddies. I don't know if many have just taken breaks , or possibly not feeling well , like one of our favorite blog ladies, Nana Diana. Hope she is on the road to feeling better. Winter can be a tough time ...just because of the weather. Health is a big issue now., so many of our friend have had the flu. some have developed pneumonia also. Hospital visits are limited here. I avoid the drs. office like , well we know where the germs are.   Got to wash those hands and cover those coughs. Take care of yourselves please.   LOL yes, I am blog mommy.  XO

  1. I hate to see your beautiful green grass covered in snow!! I think there are a few people sick right now, and some maybe just spending time off the computer, I'm pretty sure Nana Dianna is starting to feel better but she has had such a rough time, two courses of antibiotics last I heard, its a tough pneumonia she has, enjoy you day, I'm right there with you about the fog, before I lost my sight I hated driving in fog!

    1. Hi Laurie, I already did my quick trip to town. It's somewhat foggy again. But rain and fog beat snow in my book. LOL. I like to walk when it's cold and I don't mind shoveling the snow for the exercise. I think now I am understanding why people move to Florida and Arizona...for the sunshine. LOL. Hope you are getting to see some birds and enjoy your time. Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie

  2. Good Morning, Nana Dianna has been really sick, but I keep praying for all of those that are sick. I know when I had mine I took 2000 mg of antibiotics and for my cough it was 200 mg every 4 hours. Stomach hurt so bad from coughing. Just stay well. I have been lucky so far right now. We didn't get near as much as they predicted. Maybe my praying helped because of my oldest flying back to Louisianan. I don't like the fog especially when people don't have their lights on. Our storm started as sleet then turned to snow. We didn't get as much maybe you will be lucky too. Have a wonderful New Year. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend Shirley

    1. Shirley, I tell you I do not want to get near any nasty flus or colds. I wash my hands till they are sore. I notice they are getting chapped. Glad your child got to fly back home safely. Ice is so scary isn't it. I hope you are careful when going out. Blessings to you Shirley. xoxo,Susie

  6. I like to look at fog but dislike driving in it also. When I was young, we had terribly fogs in England, it didn't stop people from driving and going about their business, but ooh, so nerve-wracking !
Cold, cold, weather on the way, stay bundled !

  8. I don't like driving in the fog either, but I'd rather do that than the ice! We have been fortunate so far and not had as bad a winter as last year. But it's been gray and rainy for two days now and I'm missing the sun. No snow is predicted, but the temperature is going to drop 40 degrees and fast. Brrr!!!

  9. Susie, fog scares me too when driving. The main reason I was so happy to leave Santa Cruz was the fog. We get overcast days here but not all the time! I think exercise is a good antedote to the winter blahs, which I get too. This year, after getting over my cold now, I plan to start walking more We'll see how that goes!!..Happy Weekend..Judy

  10. It's a pretty murky day here today. We got a bit of snow last night and today it will hit 50. By Thursday it could hit single digits. That's New England.
Yes those are the clay cliffs on M.V.
Both my grandfathers were named Paul so there was little chance I would be named anything else.
I am going out tonight and I may have to deal with fog as well. It's quite yucky out right now.

  11. I'm also on the tail end of a cold that started right after Thanksgiving and took me through Christmas...but it wasn't the flu but I kept the kleenex company in business with a runny nose.

When we live up North we had what was called Tully fog..just a layer on the ground...horrible for driving. Hated it.

    1. Wanda, That was a long lasting cold. I sure hope you are over it now. I have never heard of that fog...is it a local name for it? Yes, drive in heavy fog is scary. Seems people want to drive off your tail lights....sort of like someone texting these days. LOL. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  12. Susie, I am happy for every day it's not snowing or miserably cold. Got in a nice walk today and it was warm enough to be out without gloves.

    1. Carol, I have a pair of gloves in about every jacket pocket now. I love be able to get outside even if it's a walk about here at home. I just walk up and down the drive ways and round our driveway/walkway loop. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  13. Susie, your grass is still so green. I was wondering who mows all that area where you live? My, it looks so nice. I know what you mean about the fog, it makes me nervous when I drive in it. I miss Diana too, and I hope she is doing ok. She's a favorite of mine for sure. And so are you, Susie.

    love,
