Saturday....

The snow is still on the ground. The wind has been nasty the  past couple evenings.  Makes even the smallest amount of snow, drift.  Ted had to use the snow blower again this morning.  I want to get some snow fencing to put up in spots to stop some of the drifting.  Snow fencing is plastic made into a grid to help deflect the wind. We have some on the split rail fence and it helps around the front a bit..but we need it along the garage drive.
Now this is what I am longing to see. LOL. Oh yes, the spring flower displays at the local garden centers.  Are any of you thinking like I am?   Of course we have Valentine's day to be happy about. That's when the florist have some really beautiful things. I may just buy myself a nice bouquet when I go to the grocery, even they have nice flowers.
Wishing all of you a great Saturday. Stay warm and safe.  XO

  1. What a difference I am seeing outside. I am feeling behind in my garden chores as it is almost time to begin my spring planting and the gardens have yet to be cut back and cleaned up. I would love a bit of snow or even rain here. Happy Saturday my friend.

  2. I too am impatiently waiting for spring flowers. The older I get, the more I realize that I am not a cold weather person.

    1. Hi Pat, I am glad of comrades out there that are just as impatient as I am. LOL I too seem to hate winter the older I get...I guess it's because I chill easier and hate wearing too many layers of clothing. Let's think Spring !! Bless you, xoxo,Susie

    1. Kay, I truly am shock at how cold it has been in the southern states. Texas has had ice. Looks like it is headed our way also. Is there not let up ? Gee, I hate to whine. I better get over it. You would think after all these years I have lived on this earth I would be used to it. LOL. Take care and be safe. Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie

  5. Oh the flowers look so pretty! I think we should all treat ourselves to a bouquet once in a while during the winter until we can start gathering our own from our gardens. Stay warm!

  6. Hi Cheryl, You have given me an idea. I surely could afford a small bouquet each month thru winter. Thank you. It's getting out of the house to town that is getting tricky with the snows. Hope you get some flowers soon too. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  7. Susie, I've been thinking about flowers lately too, and wondering what I want to plant this spring. I think it's a great idea that you get yourself a bouquet of flowers. What about carnations?.....they are pretty, they smell so nice, and they last for such a long time. I've never seen snow fencing before. Good ol' Ted using the snow blower to help clear the snow. You have yourself a good husband, Susie.

Stay warm in that coooold weather.

    love, ~Sheri

    1. Sheri, When it's cold and dreary we need to treat ourselves to a bouquet of flowers. I just rarely do that...so I think I need to do it more. LOL. I can't wait to get my seed catalog from the Burpee company. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
