A Bit Of Work....

Yes, garden on ... I picked up this cute little tag at Horton's when I got my flowers yesterday.
I did get some containers planted. I do need some filler plants.  Plus you all know I find some interesting sticks/twigs , and paint them some accent colors , then put them in my containers too.
I put the purple pansies with yellow and the orange with burgundy colors.
Ted did a great job mowing.  Then he checked the oil in the mower, cleaned it up before putting back in the shed.
The day was mostly cloudy. The lawn service hasn't been here yet, I am calling them today.
After we finished all our chores yesterday. Got showers ,it was time for a reward. A small blizzard at the D.Q. ..well in Ted's case, maybe a medium blizzard. We had a  good day.
Hope everyone has a great day. XO

    1. Diana, One year we had some sticks , about the size of walking canes. Emma and I painted them to look like colorful snakes and put them in the gardens. LOL. She loved them and took two home for her dad's garden. Oh yes, those darn blizzards aren't a diet item, you know. LOL. Too bad, I could eat them everyday.:):) Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  2. I like the Tropical Blizzard~ Your yard looks good. I hope to get to town and buy some plants today to plant in my pots. Don't do a lot of digging in the yard anymore, these old bones just won"t let me.

    1. Thank you, we are trying to stay on top of the crazy things in our lawn. I honestly think the lawn care people bring stuff in on their equipment...so it turns into a cycle.. Hope you are having a good day there. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  4. It sure looks like everything is moving nicely around your home with the flowers, grass and ice cream. Tomorrow we pick up lawnmower and of course that means cutting soon. I'm having a guy come in to aerate the lawn and then I will place all the necessary material for growth on my lawn. It's that time of year. Boy that ice cream sure looks good. Have a great day Susie. See ya.

    1. Hi Cruising Paul, I see where our friend Bee is due to cruise soon. It would be nice if you could be on the same ship. You know aeration is something the lawn people want to do all the time...I do not think it's necessary every year. Some times if a person can not have a nice ice cream, maybe a frozen yogurt or sugar free ice cream will do. Blessings for a successful lawn this year Paul. xoxo,Susie

  9. Yaaay, Ted did a great job on the lawn. Susie, I am amazed every time I see your lawn. It's so green and groomed. You know, every once in awhile I will go to Dairy Queen and get a hot fudge sundae. They have the best there.

    Enjoy your week, Susie.

  11. Hi Susie, Love your plants and your yard-your lawn is so green. Ours is just coming back from the winter; hopefully with the rain and slush we got today it will start to green up. Monday night I went out to get some frozen yogurt but the store was close, so went to DQ instead. Got hubby a salted caramel truffle blizzard and I just got an M&M one. Hope you have a great evening.

  13. Looks like you have a wonderful home. I remember a local Dairy Queen growing up. The guy who ran it looked a lot like a local cowboy kiddie show star Rex Trailer. In fact for a while I thought it was him.

    Nothing new on Beth yet.
