Some Family Pictures.....

This is Emma. She said she wanted to show me all her Easter ears. Bunny  ears on her head, those crazy rabbit glasses, and her own ears.  I have missed being with this sweet silly girl.
This is one of the grand dogs, Madison. She was wanting to come in . She had been misbehaving.
Here's  Emma and Landon hunting Easter eggs.  The patio had not been cleaned up from winter, so there were plenty of places  to hide those plastic eggs.
Liz, my daughter, holding her granddaughter Layla Rose. She would hold this baby all day if she could. I could see some small changes in the baby, more alert, she may even be a bit heavier. I think we all got to hold her for about ten minutes, then Liz would have her again.
I am behind reading blogs. I had classmate brunch yesterday. Then was out of town for the afternoon. So I will be catching up today.
Hope you are having a good day. XO

  1. Good Morning Susie, It is cloudy today, but suppose to be warm with the chances of storms. Just what we need. I have enjoyed catching up with you this morning. The little one is adorable. We all miss doing things with our grandchildren, but as they get older it does change. Have a wonderful day and Take care.

  2. Hi Shirley, I saw were Thursday may be a scary day for us. Praying we have no bad storms. I miss my girls and my g.kids. Emma was the one I spent so much time with. My daughter Angie and I lived in the same town and I had lots of time with her children. I am feeling somewhat melancholy for my days of raising my daughters. But I will have to shake that feeling off, cause I have things to do. Bless you sweet heart Shirley. I think of you and your husband, xoxo,Susie

  3. Wow!
    Emma...
I cannot believe how she has grown up before my eyes. Is she able to spend any spring break time with you this year. I remember her visits in the past. Your great grand is precious! On Easter I found out that we have another grand on the way. They say that they are not going to find out the sex this time. Chrislyn is due in November. I hope all is well with you, weather and family healthwise.
I keep up with blogging and visits, but I am sooooo behind with my comments.
    Have a good week, Susie!

    1. Lynne, Our Emma is growing so fast. But s you can see, she is still a goofy kid at times. Love that. I bet you were happy to know about the new baby. :) I am going to try to get Emma to visit me at least once every two weeks this summer. Hope you are doing well and enjoying some wonderful weather. xoxo,Susie

Layla Rose such a beautiful name.
We have dark clouds and thunderstorms this week, a typical Tennessee Spring ;)

  6. I love Emma's glasses. Why not try them on Madison the dog. Very cute with the granddaughter and we also had an egg hunt on Easter in our backyard. Emily & Cole had no problem finding the eggs and all the candy. Everyone enjoyed the day. Have a beautiful day Susie. See ya.

    1. Hi Paul, I am surprised Emma didn't put the glasses on the dog....once her mom caught her gluing some fabric on the cat, she said she was making it a dress. she was much younger then. LOL. It's funny watching kids find those eggs. They are lucky, ours were always hard boiled eggs. Not nearly as good as chocolate.:) Hope you are doing well and planning a nice cruise. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

    1. Kris, I miss that Emma so much, I cry. I know she has different things she loves to do. Stay with friends, plays sports, and be involved with school things. We have to hug them ,kiss them ,and squeeze them every chance we get. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  8. Love your sweetly silly granddaughter. She's all ears!
I am afraid to ask what BAD DOG did...lol
Looks like the kids had fun hunting Easter eggs. It was too cold to do anything like that here.
That baby is so precious. I love that her grandma doesn't want to give her up. I am sure she is bonding with her forever doing that.

Hope you have a great night, Susie! xo Diana

    1. Diana, Emma wants to be all grown up and yet she shows her goofy side enough that I know she is still our little girl....even though we do not see her as much as we would like.
That bad doggie was standing at the table's edge eyeballing the ham. LOL She was put out while dinner was served. It tickles me Diana when I see my Lizzy holding that baby. She's in love for sure. Liz is a great mommy, so I think she'll be a wonderful loving grandmother. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  9. Dear Susie, Love all the pictures from Easter, but girl you really had me rereading your post when you mentioned your daughter is a grandmother-so you must have been about 11 when you got married-right? You are too young to have great grandchildren. The sweet baby is so cute. Have a wonderful week. Noreen

  10. We had a lovely day Sunday. Arlene and I were the oldest people at one gathering. There were 4 generations present at her brothers house. From a 1year old, 2 year old, a five year old to all the way up to us seniors. When did I become a senior?
Then there were the 3 dogs who proved to be entertaining.
Looks like you had a nice day as well as better weather.

    1. Boston Boy, You make me laugh..I sometimes think, "dang, I am older than dirt !" But other times I feel much younger. I just hope I do not look too crazy jamming to the radio in my car. LOL. We did have a great Easter, made me miss the ones who could not be with us. Blessings to you and Arlene, you too are young enough to have a kicking vacation .

  11. Liz looks so much like you, Susie. This is a sweet picture of her holding her granddaughter. Emma looks so funny in her glasses. She's still young enough to look for those Easter eggs. That was always so much fun for my kids when they were little. I still made them baskets when Nel was 30 haha!

    1. Sheri, When we were all younger....boys used to yell , "hey Liz" when I would be in town...I would just wave at them.. Liz asked if I was making them think I was her, haha, I said "no, I did not want them to think you were stuck up.So I wave and say, "I am the Mom" I used to give to my girls every holiday, now it's the grands.
