Purple, Green, & Blue....

Our clematis is in full bloom and looks so pretty. Makes me wish we had many more of them around the property.
I have to show all of you this sweet piece of junk I found near my sister's apartment. It was all dark brown and peeling. I ask the people if they were throwing it away and they said yes. So I told them I was taking it home with me. They said I was more than welcome to it. :):) My sister and I loaded it into my Jeep...had to put the backseat down and move the passenger seat forward, so it would fit. Yes, Ted laughed when he saw it, but promised to help me make it nice.
Here it is in it's new color , willow green.  Ted sprayed the paint on for me. It had a few little worn out spot, but there's still some sitting to be done on this chaise lounger. I am going to make or buy some cushions for it. . Our next big project has  to be power washing the floor of the porch and staining it.
Now you can see the blue.  Another robin built a new nest in the front window and laid two eggs.   I do not know if they will ever hatch, as the robin flies off the eggs every move we make.   I hope they make it. Remember all four of the eggs in a previous nest hatched and the birdies flew a way. :):)
Wishing all of you a beautiful day. XO

    1. Diana, I told Ted I wanted to paint it "pickle green" he just laughed of course. But I think this is close and it's a nice summer color that won't look too out of place in the fall. Hey, I am thinking of planting a couple more clematises...hope they grow like this one has. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

    1. Munir, I pray these eggs hatch...but it's on the way to the shop/garage. I am befuddled at why the birds are making a nest they are so jittery about sitting on. xoxo,Susie

  6. Love that lounge chair. The green color is perfect for it. I looked at it and wanted to sit on it. Or maybe even lay on it. With a good book and a glass of iced tea it would be perfect. Love those robin eggs too. Hope they hatch.

  12. Susie,
I loved so many things on your post today. Those blue eggs, what a sight. They are such a pretty color. I didn't realize Robin's eggs were that bright. The chair looks fantastic after Ted spray painted it. What a cute style. And those purple clematis, one of the prettiest flowers, indeed. I don't see them around here much.

    Happy Wednesday, Susie.

    1. Sheri, I wonder if the eggs are different shades of blue considering what the birds are eating. I wish my clematis could be seen from my new chaise. LOL. I think it looks pretty for free. Hope you are having a great day. Love you, Susie

  13. hi Susie, Love your transformation of the Chaise.
It will look perfect on your deck. I thought my daughter had Robins eggs, but the blue was lighter(like a robin egg blue-not as vibrant as yours)and now that we see the hatchlings, I think they are a smaller bird. It will be fun to see them when they start trying to fly.

What a pretty Springtime song you sing here.
The nest filled with eggs! ( I can hear the Robin's singing as I read!)

That chaise is a dream find! They are SO expensive! Ted worked his signature magic!

Your friend Susie and I made the "Thyroid" connection. I do think Izabelle's book would be a good and helpful read for her. You are a kind and perceptive blog friend!

  21. I like the nest picture. I have never seen eggs in a nest. The weather looks a little iffy the first couple of days on the island but what can you do. It still beats listening to someone crab about the size of their turkey slices and how hard it will be to make a sandwich with smaller or bigger slices. Please find something important to complain about.

    1. Boston Boy, You make me laugh..but you are right like someone could not cut the slices in halves or put two small ones together. LOL Hey that robin laid another eggs since I took those photos...I never knew they could be that far apart in time. Find a nice café to enjoy lunch in while it's raining maybe. I sure wish you and Arlene the best weather for your trip. I am so envious. LOL. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
