Library....

This is along side of our library. I love the grounds there, although it's limited. Around the corner at the end of this path is a pergola with a seating area. So sweet. Smells so good with the scent of the pines.
This is a seating area in the front. The sculpture was made by our art teachers at the local high school. This is a shady breezy spot to sit.  A nice place to sit and enjoy your coffee from the Subway sandwich shop.  I pulled these photos off my files. I have not been to the library for some time now.  I was going to take art classes there this past fall...but they were always later than I wanted to take them.   Hope all of you have a great library and enjoy visiting it. Oh Kathy at Looking Through My Bifocals...works in her library.  :)
Blessings for a great Sunday. XO

  1. good morning Susie. In my town Amherstburg, the library is in the center of the town, main street and you can't miss it because they put this gigantic boulder which has water coming out of it. As you drive by, can't miss it as you drive by.
Have a beautiful Sunday Susie. See ya.

    1. Paul, In small towns the library and the funeral homes are usually the biggest buildings. LOL. I bet that big rock does get attention. Hope your Sunday is going nicely too. Bless you, xoxo,Susie

    1. When You sadi Mayberry, I had to laugh....it reminded me of a time when our dog catcher caught some bad guys who came to Tipton. It's funny story...I'll have to post it some time. Hope your day is going well. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  5. We do have a library which I use occasionally, but it doesn't have a pleasant place to sit outside. I remember so well when I was in elementary school and the bookmobile would visit our school once a week in the summer. My sister and I would walk each week to check out a stack of books to read and exchange them the next week for another stack of books. These days I shop on amazon for books or buy them at the Christian bookstore.

    1. Nonnie, That reminds me of when my girls were little...they would do the summer book club reading. I always loved that my girls would read..still do. One of my daughter's belong to the Weekly Reader Book Club for a couple years..I would spend a few dollars every 6 weeks or so for her a book. The girls all read them. Bless you, xoxo,Susie

  7. Oh, thanks for the shout out Susie. I have not excuse for not using the library when I work there. Your library is so lovely! I love the grounds. Being in a big city we have a lot of concrete around our libraries and not so much land. I am fortunate that the one I work at has a yard next to it with a picnic table that we use at lunch time and there is a little park right behind us where people go to sit and read. I'll have to take some pictures of it. I just realized I've never shown the park in my blog.

  11. This is such a nice spot. I remember finding little places like this when my girls were young...we'd read or they'd play and we would just enjoy the day. Miss those times.

  12. Susie, your library looks so charming, and you should try to take those art classes this fall. Art classes are really popular right now, and Nel and Jess took one and had a wonderful time. Your library grounds is such a peaceful spot to sit and read.

    Have a nice week, Susie.
