Saturday Visitors.....

Emma and Layla Rose  came to visit.  My daughter Liz brought all her sweet girls to visit me.  Liz, Lynzie, Emily (Layla's mom), Layla and Emma.  It was so good  to get to see them all and get hugs. Layla is really growing  now. Not to mention Emma , who is  almost taller than me and she's just 11 years old.
Emma stayed all night. She and I will go to brunch at Aunt Angie's house. She will be with me till Monday. It's amazing how quickly children grow. Seems more so when you do not see them often.
Lynzie ( my daughter Liz's daughter) is expecting her first child in December. I could see she seemed tired yesterday. She's an R.N. so she has busy work schedules. The girls all stayed long enough for Papaw Teddy to get hugs and have a few minutes of catching up.
If Layla were not being breast fed by Emily, she might  have stayed over night also. :) Emma says she is Layla's favorite aunt.   I think she will be. I can see Emma baby sitting one day. I had to watch my siblings when I was about  12.  You know, back when you could clobber your brothers and sisters. :):) The best part of baby sitting siblings.  LOL
Wishing all a beautiful Sunday. The sun is shining once again here, and I am loving it. XO

    1. Diana, I think you mean Emma...Emily is my grandson Brock sweetheart. Layla Rose's mother. Ted asked Liz if Emma was six foot yet. LOL. Well she's about 5' 3' and only 11 yrs. old. I just fed her waffles. :) Bless you, xoxo,Susie

  5. I enjoy them as they grow up, but wonder why does it have to happen so quickly? It would be nice to enjoy each stage for a longer period (and maybe some not so long)! Sweet kids and I'm glad you have them for company this weekend. Blessings. (I do remember clobbering my sister a time or two.)

    1. Kris, I am seriously going to have to grab every moment I can with my grandkids. As you can see how much they have grown . Layla is 4 months old already. This is only the fourth time I have been with her. Emma is growing way too fast. It can be heart breaking. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  9. What a good time everyone must have had. I started baby sitting at 11. Seems wild now when 11 year olds have baby sitters, but I baby sat during the day regularly for the daughter of a friend of the family. I was so proud to make some money and have a job.

    1. Carol, I was the oldest daughter in our family, so I always had responsibility of watching the younger kids. Some times when I was 15 my mom let me watch other's kids and I made some money then...like you said that was nice. :) I can not even imagine my granddaughters having to do what all I did growing up. Strange how 11 today is not the 11 of yesteryear. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  11. Susie, what a fun time you had with all the family. Emma looks darling, and she's getting so big. I love her crimped hair! This is a wonderful picture of you in the yellow shirt with the flag. You should wear that for the 4th of July this year. I notice that it's from Old Navy. Did you buy that this year? I'll have to go get one for myself hehehe.

    1. Hi Sheri, It was a great time with all the girls. Emma and I did truly enjoy our time together. We did make crafts. She went swimming, then out to eat and then to the $ store so she could get a couple snacks. She drew pictures and played on her phone and watch some Disney movies. Bless you, xoxo,Susie
