Treasure Mart.....

You can see the sign and the truck that says this is the original Treasure Mart.  This building used to be a printing factory , many, many years ago.
They have installed new windows. That is how they cool the place by opening the windows. I got a bit over heated on the second floor so there was no way I was going any higher. :):)
I do not know how long this building is. It is full of antiques and junk and just about anything a person could want.
I absolutely love the exposed brick walls. When you look up, the ceiling is actually the floor joists and beams of the next floor.
I love just looking at things. Some things are really over priced. But many thing are affordable for anyone.  They were serving free sweet tea , fruit punch and cookies for anyone wanting them. I thought that was a nice touch to get people into the building to shop.
I had to take time to admire the huge posts and floor joists of this old building. I am so glad it has been saved and repurposed.
Today Ted and I got to that hickory tree we lost. I finally had to call it quits for me. Too hot and I took a shower, made tea and had Ted take two breaks .  The neighbor man said we could put all our limbs on his back lot's burn pile. So I went to his house and raked up all the apples that blew off his trees. Oh my goodness that was  more than a wheelbarrow of apples.  So my arthritic ankles are done for today.
Hope all you fellows had a wonderful Father's Day.  XO

  2. You find so many amazing places! I enjoyed seeing the pretty displays and settings. Old buildings are the best! They just don't make things as solid as they used to!
What a TON of work you guys did! I am waiting for the sun to go dwon before taking our trash to the curb. That's about as strenuous as I'm getting today!!

    1. Linda, You are so right. Even though there are things like asbestos in old building and lead pipes...those things can be taken out safely and the buildings saved. We will have that tree down this week. Ted worked longer at it than I did.. It was plenty warm here today also. We will have a pile of firewood for this coming winter...as long as the wood gets seasoned for 6 months. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

    1. Vee, The sad part is it's not over. LOL. No really you know when you do a hard chore, that tired feeling is a good one. I told Ted we will probably sleep like logs tonight. Bless you, xoxo,Susie

  5. You can't burn anything around here except for a charcoal grill. Too many houses close together.

I have to find a place like that around here.

    1. Boston Boy, I hate if people burn trash, plastics garbage and stuff like that. In rural areas it is allowed...I think it should be stopped. But the burning out limbs and branches smells like a camp fire. I bet you and Arlene together would love browsing the junks shops. It's fun on rainy day to me. Bless you, xoxo,Susie

    1. Blondie, I loved your comment.LOL...I guess I try to throw in a few different things to interest people...we all like so many different things, like working, junking, crafting, shopping, and gardening. Hope you are doing well, taking breaks in this heat. I am still longing for beautiful 70 degree June weather...these 80 and higher days make too many storms. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

    1. Tete, My camera battery died while I was at the mart...that is why I didn't have more pictures. I just got too warm in that place as they have no AC, they open the windows and there was barely any breeze on Saturday. Hope you are doing better and resting some. Bless your heart, xoxo,Susie
