Bouquets On The Porch....

Made these bouquets from some of my flowers, and the queen Anne's lace from the ditch across the road.  Used my milk bottle again for a vase. :):)
Cone flowers, black eyed Susans, and the lace.
This lace is in a vase with red food coloring. Why? Mildred at Cattails said her sister once told her if you put queen  Anne's lace in a vase with food coloring the lace would turn that color. So since I am more curious than any cat...I am trying this.  I made these bouquets yesterday. This morning there was a tinge of pink on the lace. I will leave it a day or two and get a photo.LOL  I know, I know, I need something to do. LOL.
While I sit here and think of something fun to do...I am wishing all of you a beautiful day . XS

  1. Yes, I am curious to see how the flowers change color, I've heard that about carnations too. I think the lace adds such a 'fancy' touch to the daisys too.

    1. Linda, If this works, I'll try it on all white flowers. LOL. Isn't it amazing how somethings are considered weeds but work with other flowers. I love to see poppies and roses with the lace. Hope you are starting your week with something fun. xoxo,Susie

    1. HI Mildred, Hope you don't mind me mentioning you in my post today. I was hoping to see a big change, it honestly had a bit of pink, ever so faint but there. My Ted is taking me to lunch today...gotta love that man. :):) I'll post a picture of the lace if it changes more. Blessings for a sweet new week, xoxo,Susie

  3. What a nice idea Susie. I might want to try that myself but not today. It's going to be in the 90's and humid so I'll probably be in with my AC on.
Have an enjoyable Monday. See ya.
