Honor Christmas......

I remember buying this sweet sign at Horton's one year.  I love it.  It's on the dining room shelf, just barely. :) I like it mixed with all the cards that have family pictures and my Emma and Santa photos.
One of my mother's best friends made this little deer and tree.  It sits beside a fat baby Emma on Santa's lap.  Then there's Max from last year.
These pictures are all the same kids at different ages. Sam and Maggie.
A snowman and tree under the shelf. Kind of a dark photo, sorry.
I stepped outside to take a picture of our beautiful blue skies yesterday and the school bus was coming down the road, so I wait to get a shot of it. Just dawned on me, the neighbor boy doesn't even take the bus any more...he is driving and has for a couple years. Growing up. :(
Here's a small baby boy I want to keep little for awhile yet.  This is Luke playing with some toy and all excited about it. So cute.
. It's cold here and snow on the way. I will be getting to the grocery, lol...you know how that goes. Got to have enough milk.   Wishing all of you a great day.

  4. What? No bread to go with that milk! I like the Dickens sign. I have a Dickens saying hanging up in my house too. Brrrrr....it is cold outside. We've had some beautiful sunsets though. That Luke is a cutie, no wonder you want him around for awhile!

  10. Oh, I love your sign, Susie, and I've always loved that Christmas verse. Putting it by your cards is the perfect place. The deer and tree are so special, as your mother's dear friend made them. Wouldn't that be nice if we could keep Luke little for awhile - he's so precious. And I love this picture of the school bus in front of your house, Susie. Did you know the neighbor boy well who used to ride the bus? Yes, they grow up so quickly. Francesca is already a month old!

Yes, Sheri, we know the neighbor boy very well. He used to come over and play with our cat. His name is Josh a sweetheart of a kid. He will be graduating this spring. We will be getting him a gift. I just miss him catching the bus...he drives now. :):)
Oh your sweet baby girl is growing...squeeze her. Blessings to all, love, xoxo, Susie

    1. Kay, Luke is a bit of chunk, his mom had to fatten him up from the beginning, as he has C. F. The drs said the healthier his start the better.
I love all the Charles Dickens stories. Christmas Carol is my all time favorite. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

  13. Hi Susie, long time no see! lol! Well, it seems like a long time since I've felt really good and was online long enough to visit my friends. It's looking like Christmas at your house! I've always loved the Chas Dickens quote. Did you get some snow? We haven't had any here yet, but it was so windy yesterday that I felt like I lived in KS or OK! Whew. I had gone shopping and I thought I would get blown off the interstate. Loved seeing that sweet little Luke and also the school bus in front of your house brings back many memories!

    1. Cheryl, I hope you are feeling much better. Being sick or just out of sorts even is no fun at the holidays. We had that once dusting of snow and it's even been very pretty here a couple days. But plenty cold. This weekend is to be in the mid to high 40's. We did have some high winds too. I don't think there could be any pine cones let on the trees. LOL I am sure hoping every things works out for this weekend...so I can be with all the babies. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

  16. Hi! Remember me? Oh I know all about the grocery store preceding a snowstorm. It really got crazy after the blizzard of '78. Actually two storms measuring a total 40 to 50 inches of snow in a few days. Since then the mere mention of snow makes everyone flock to the markets. Panic buying is what we called it.
    Very cute kids.
Boy do you live in a totally different area than where I live. you have space! Anyway I hope I will be back on a more regular basis. I thank you for your support. Sorry I didn't mean to sound like a politician.

    1. Boston Boy, I have really been missing you. I hope you and Arlene are in good health and doing well. I bet you do not miss those crazy holidays in the grocery business. We have had the easiest winter so far. Mostly high winds, only that dusting of snow. This weekend may seem like spring. I am not complaining as the older I get the less I like snow. LOL. Take care , enjoy your Christmas. Tell Arlene hello.Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, Susie
