Happy Birthday To The Twins....

Here are my daughters and I ,when we went to Disney World. So long ago.  Liz, Kathy, Angie, Karen and me. I made them wear these shirts so we could spot one another in a crowd.  None of them were happy about that. LOL
Karen and Liz are my twins.  So different in so many ways. Karen looks like her father's side and Liz looks like mine.
Such little sweethearts.  I miss these days.
I dressed them alike most times till they were in 1st grade. But once in awhile like here, they were similar.
This is how they look now. Growing up , Karen was a tom boy type, climbing trees, riding  bikes ,skate boarding, jumping...Liz chased butterflies and bugs, but also liked snakes. :):)  She would ride bikes and skate. They both like animals.
It's their birthday this week and mine is a week earlier.  The twins were born before all the ultra-sound pictures of babies. I dreamed I would have twin sons. So I packed two sets of clothes to take to the hospital to bring them home. Then as I was leaving home , after my water broke, I put one set back on the dresser.  When they were born, I sent my sister to my house to get that set of clothing. LOL.
My dear sweet mother in law was with me thru each of my deliveries. She told me the children's father cried when the doctor said "twins". Gee so did I.  LOL  I will write about him one day.
Today is so darn foggy can't see a quarter of a mile. Storms coming our way this  weekend. Praying it's not ice.  Be safe  and stay warm all of you. XO

    1. Thank you Diana. I seemed to always be washing or combing hair when the girls were all little. Kathy and Liz had the thick hair. I just miss those sweet times of me and the girls always together. It was not always a picnic, but we always had love. Hope you are doing better. I know you are a fighter, so keep fighting. Blessings to you and the family. Love, xoxo, Susie

    1. Lisa, MY father in law would say, while I was preganant for the twins.."oh that just one big old baby and lots of water". Then when the twins were born he said "I knew it was twins !!" LOL. I still laugh about that. Thank you for the wishes. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  8. Hi Susie, Happy Birthday to you and your girls! I loved reading about their arrival. I remember when my son was 5 and daughter was 10 we made the trek to Disney World and I held onto my kids hands for dear life! haha! It was so crowded there and I was afraid of losing them. Your t-shirts was a great idea!
They say we might get some ice tomorrow afternoon. Sure hope not. We've had the fog and black ice. Hope your weather isn't too bad. Take care and stay safe!

    1. Thank you for the birthday wishes Cheryl. I do not think I could bear to go to any amusement park ever again. Maybe I am too old or maybe it's even more crowded. I sure hope no one gets ice. We had it this morning and thankfully it did not take out our power. Blessings , stay warm. xoxo, Susie

  11. Happy Birthday to your twin daughters, and to YOU, SUSIE! This is such a special post wuth memories of your daughters growing up. That must have been such a surprise having twins! How funny that you dressed all four daughters alike so that you could pick them out in a crowd at Disney World. I remember holding onto my son's hand at Disneyland, and he was getting to be an older boy. That place is so crowded! Such cute pictures you've shared here, Susie. I miss those days too, my friend. Oh, I would have loved to seen your fog. It can be so pretty sometimes, unless driving the roads in it.

    Have a beautiful birthday, Susie.

    love, ~Sheri

    1. Sheri, It was a surprise having the twins. LOL I enjoyed our time at Disney World, but I honestly don't think I could ever go in this day and time. Way too crowded. Plus I know my feet would never work to walk that much now . LOL Hope you are safe from the floods. I heard the forecast of heavy rains and I prayed for California, I knew after the fires there could be landslides. So dangerous. Still praying. Blessings to you and yours, love you,Susie

  19. Happy Birthday to your twins! I have twin daughters too! I did know I was having two babies (found out with my first ever ultrasound, went by myself and had to deal with the shock by myself till I got home!!) and the sex before they were born. Our girls are very different too. They shared a birthday cake on Year 1 but by year 2 they specifically requested two cakes!!
