Lunch With Family....

Granddaughter Lynzie brought Luke and Max, to her mom's to have lunch with us.
I get to cuddle them over the back of the sofa. They are becoming quite the handful.
Lynzie takes their shirts off, so they eat in their t-shirts with bibs.. LOL.  Luke looks happy to be in his chair.
Liz enjoying Luke before nap time.
Max entertained us with his rendition of Jerry Lee Lewis after lunch.
Then Luke and Max played a duet.  Which drove the men outdoors.  LOL
Emma came home from school later. She wanted me to hold her snake for a picture. It's a ball python, only a baby.  I told her it would make a lovely belt. She laughed and said, "Oh nana stop."  It has the most amazing glass cage. Very sturdy. Hope it only gets big enough to be a belt.
Liz made the nicest lasagna for lunch and Ted's favorite dessert, banana pudding.  Brock got to come join us for lunch, but not his Emily and Layla, for Layla was sick.
Liz put things away and I washed everything down. Then we played with the boys and got them to nap while Lynzie got to go to the salon. I know I do not need to tell all of you that I slept like a baby last night. Wow, handling children that young for this old girl was exhausting. :):)
Wishing all a safe happy weekend. Enjoy your life. XO

  1. Oh, Luke and Max are adorable! Bless their little cotton socks! (I got that expression from England!) No wonder you slept so well afterwards! :-)
Tell them to get another snake, I am in need of a belt myself. Wait, who am I kidding, I NEVER wear a belt, HA!

    1. Kay, What a cute saying. I forgot to ask Emma what she named her snake. She did say it will get bigger...I said them maybe a nice purse of shoes. LOL. I told her he cost too much to waste. LOL I think she also thought I would be afraid to touch it. IT just felt like it was plastic. Cool and slick...not slimmy, like some people think. Oh sweetheart, I do not wear belts either. ;):) Blessings, hope it's getting pretty there. xoxo, Susie

  4. It looks like you had a wonderful day with the grand kids! Look on the bright side, at least you didn't have to shovel snow. Wet, heavy snow.

    1. Boston Boy, Wet snow is dangerous..it takes a long time to clear it out. Hope you are safe and well. We have luck out here. I have only shoveled three time this year. I just keep thing about the work that needs done to restore power in the northeast. Those fellows are heroes. Blessings to you and Arlene, xoxo, Susie

  5. What a fun day with the boys, they are getting big !
I'm not a lover of snakes, after working in the veterinary field I learned how they carry disease, and wouldn't want them around my home.
I'm smiling at the piano duet, sweetness.
    Have a wonderful weekend Susie.

    1. Lisa, I laughed and even wanted to cry when I was with the boys. I get sad if they cry, even though I know they are not hurting....just tired crying. I am hoping that snake do not last very long. Honestly, I was upset with my daughter buying it for Emma....but Liz has always like frogs, toads, snakes, cats dogs, and even catching bugs in a jar. Emma makes me think of Liz in her youth. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  10. Darling kids! I guess not everyone appreciates budding pianists Lol. We get the same at our house. One old upright piano all the littles are allowed to play and the other piano they're not. It's so fun to have the kids around isn't it! Have a wonderful weekend, Susie.

    1. Wanda, When I watch my granddaughter tend to her boys, I just have to pitch in and help...it seems so much to do. Oh once those greatgrands start coming you will be surprised and in love. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  18. What a joy to get to cuddle with those sweet boys. They look so precious in those plaid shirts. That's super that you had dinner prepared for you. Sweet. I miss having babies these days, but I have to admit the older kids at least don't have to be carried anymore. Although I miss that too. You don't look like an old gal! You're pretty brave holding that snake.

  20. I love how Lynzie puts matching flannels on the boys. She always dresses them so cute. This picture of you with the boys is wonderful, Susie, and a sweet picture of Max playing the piano. I got to see Francesca for four days this weekend as well, and I carried her a lot. My back was starting to hurt a little, but it was so worth it. These little ones bring so much joy to our lives. We are very blessed, Susie.

  22. Hi there Susie, glad you stopped by and MERCY yes!--it's exhausting these days to care for the little ones, I guess that's why we have them when we are young, strong, and limber! LOL Yes Charleston is a very very dog friendly city and yes we have the scoop rules and I've only seen maybe one person not clean up after their pet, we all just automatically do it, it's just part of walking your dog. I'm sure it does help keep our pretty city clean because who wants to go out in a park or on a sidewalk for a nice walk and step in nasty poo? ha ha ha LOl Hope you're doing well!
