Weather and Prayers....

Sunday morning was raining cats and dogs. Then the wind picked up with gust up to 50 miles an hour . Gee, thought sure the hickory nuts would have all fallen. But there's a few hangers on.
Yesterday(Monday) was a pretty new day. Started off like this.
Then by mid day it was starting to feel just a bit warm.  The skies were very pretty.
Afternoon, it was nice enough that I picked up branches from Sunday's wind . Ted worked on getting the wood box on the back deck for winter.
As the sun was setting, I took a walk about the property, saying prayers as I do this. .
The Japanese maple is turning redder. The white mums have turned  brown from the extreme cold we've had.
The birch tree looks nice with the setting sun shining on it's bark.
Actually in this photo our trees kind of look pretty. Honestly they all just about turn a yellowish brown before the leaves fall off.
This is the end of the Monday. Today is to be much nicer as far as temperatures go. It may reach 70. That is nice.  As I am typing this post, my heart is in my throat. I feel so anxious.
I am going to ask all of you to please pray for my Ted. He's going to see his heart dr. this coming month. But we are trying to get him in a bit early. He's been getting winded when using stairs.  I am not sure he would have told me this if my daughters had not texted me after Saturday.  Ted helped my daughter Kathy move. She left an apartment on the second floor for another on a second floor. Ted had to stop to catch his breath a few times. My son in law and Ted's brothers were there to do the heavy lifting. Liz and Kathy did lots of the carrying of boxes.
I will try to keep all of you posted about this, and I thank you for good thoughts, wishes and prayers. XO

  2. We didn't even get 50mph up here in northwest SC when the two hurricanes passed by us this year. I think the highest was like 40mph (the hurricane downgrades quite a lot by the time it gets this inland) which took down a tree or two, but not too much.

    1. Adam, I was shocked when the weatherman said it was 50mph wind gust. Thankful is wasn't a constant wind at those speeds. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  3. HI Susie, The photos are beautiful. Thats one thing I miss about living up North. The fall foliage. Down here in the South on the coast everything is just green then brown. Nothing in between. I"m sorry to hear Ted is having some breathing issue's. I will say this though as a wife of a man who had a heart attack 2 years ago and now has congestive heart failure, it's best Ted goes now, goes through all the testing to see if there is a problem before things could get worse or even catastrophic. The earlier something is found, if there is anything the less damage it can do and that's HUGE when it comes to the heart.. Please know I will pray for both of you and please keep us updated on how you're both doing.. Sending lots of love and prayer..

    1. Robyn, When Ted was 48, he had an episode. I got him to the ER and they gave him clot busters and then he had a stint put in. Even though he never had high BP or cholesterol he is on heart meds forever. He goes every year for all his check ups. He's always done so well, that is why I am kind of worried. We are waiting for a return call from the heart dr. Yes, I caught Ted before he had a full blown heart attack, because I knew the symptoms. I have been taking his BP today. Thank you for the prayers and advise. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  6. Susie, I understand your anxiety. I pray that you will be able to get your Ted in to see the doctor sooner and also that it will be something that can be remedied quickly for him. Is it possible that it is his lungs or maybe he has had heart issues in the past? Whichever, I pray it will be treated and God's hand be on him and on you.
Your place is so pretty. Very nice pics.

    1. Nonnie, Thank you. When Ted was 48 he had a stent put in ...came so close to having a heart attack. I knew the sympyoms and got him to the ER and they gave him clot busters ..just in time. So he really had no heart attack. His BP and cholesterol is really good. I just want him healthy...so I am kind of worried. We waited for the dr. to call back...the nurse said he would call if he thought it was needed. Otherwise just wait till his appt. At times I think my heart is in my throat from the anxiety. Blessings, xoxo, thanks for the prayers. Susie

  12. Oh Susie, I'm so sorry to hear this, and I will definitely say a prayer for Ted. He is such a hard worker, always doing something around the house and making the outside look so nice. This sunset is beautiful. You take the nicest sunset pictures, Susie. And it rained already! I hope you get some nice Autumn weather coming up. Your Japanese Maple is pretty, love the color of the leaves on it.

    Happy November days ahead, Susie.

    1. Thankyou Sheri. Ted and I went out yesterday. He scooped up hickory nuts and I removed the pump from the pond by the shop. Then I gathered seed heads from the marigolds. I took Ted B.P. again and it was 133/68 which is still very good. So I will be just keeping him quiet and taking his B.P. for 10 days. Take care there, stay safe. Blessings, xoxo, love, Susie

Oh Debbi, bring your rake and help me with this back yard. LOL We have never since we moved here had so many leaves fall at once. LOL. It's like a big yellow carpet. 24. You're weather looks a lot like ours! I'm in the Midwest too! Thank goodness our winds and rains have ceased, for now. The trees have lost so many leaves. But my, they are, indeed, a beautiful shade of orange!

Many prayers for you, Ted, and all your family. I pray all goes well.
