Busy Times.....

Ted has mowed twice. He wears a mask when doing the lawn.
Once he gets his bone marrow transplant, I will have to hire someone to mow.  He isn't to be doing things like that while recovering.
Luke's gym class had a fund raiser for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Luke stayed active the whole time.  All the children climbed, ran, and jumped....oh to have some of that energy.
Big brother Max and cousin Layla, jumping an a trampoline. All smiles too.
The next day, they all met some army airmen.  Max looks shy here. LOL
Luke tries out the pilot seat.  I have a pic of Max doing that also.
Then there was an Easter egg hunt. Layla with her pretty mommy Emily.
The roofer came this week and got started. He will have to wait till the rainy days have moved on. It's raining today and predicted to rain all day tomorrow.
It is greening up around here . The willow tree looks pretty against that blue sky.
The neighbor's little apple trees are getting a hint of green. Soon they should bloom.
We  had a very pretty sunset sky one evening.
Granddaughter Savannah won second place with her art work. (  flower picture in colored pencil )So proud of her .  Hope that girl sticks with art all her life.
We have a week before Ted goes in the hospital for his bone marrow transplant. Praying all goes smoothly.  Thank you to all ,who have prayed and will pray for us. Your prayers are precious gifts .  XO

  2. I can't believe your husband is out on the mower when he is awaiting a transplant!

Congrats on Savannah's art award. My husband had many years of now art between high school and his 40's. But, at 56 he quit his day job to pursue his art career. Savannah may do other things along the way, but she won't lose her talent.

    1. Carol, Ted will be getting chemo when he is admitted to the hospital. It will bring his immune system down to zero and then he will receive his bone marrow transplant. Then he may also get some small chemo after the bone marrow.
I think Savannah does love art and music more than anything in school. But she makes all "A's" in all her subjects. I love looking at your husband art pieces. His colors are so vibrant. He is truly gifted. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  3. Aw! Your little guy is about the size of my great-nephew. Sweet! :)

Teenagers used to cut lawns for spending money. Now it seems like a companies do it for large sums of cash. Did times change while I wasn't looking?

    Congrats to Artist Savannah!

    1. Hi Sandi. I thank you for your sweet comments. I try to tell teens, mowing, raking and even shoveling snow are money makers. Just about every half dozen trucks on the road are pulling a trailer full of lawn equipment these days. :)
I will tell Savannah you said congrats. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

  6. Your husband is a go getter , good for him, bless him. We are a long way from cutting grass here yet, still snow on the ground. Lots of happy faces on the outings and your grand daughter is so talented, she certainly has the gift, I think it’s something she will always use to express herself, her art piece is beautiful,

    1. Thank you Laurie. Gosh I hate to think you still have snow. It seems spring in fickle this year. we have our temps up and down...now rain for two whole days. The farmers are getting anxious to plant the fields here. Ted was so happy to mow. He said it was like old times. LOL. Oh yes, I love that Savannah has her art. She also has a lovely singing voice, but is so shy at times. Blessings to you, Garry and your family. xoxo, Susie

  8. Keeping you in thought this week. Hope the rain clears out so the roofer can get the job done. In the meantime, Ted will probably mow one more time at least. He looks like a man who really enjoys his tractor. Blessings this Easter weekend.

    1. Vee, You know that old saying when it rains , it pours...well today we had to have a new water heater put in. The company that came out did a fabulous job . This would have been something Ted would have done himself had he been able. So for him to mow makes him feel more like his old self. I think he will mow one more time too. :) I am ready fro dry weather. Bless you, xoxo, Susie

  15. Ted's already mowing the lawn, wow! Susie, the picture of the trampoline at Luke's gym class really got to me, as we used to have a BIG trampoline in our back yard, and boy, those were fun days for the kids, but a bit worrisome for mom. Luke looks like a big boy in the pilot's seat. Spring is finally coming around in your area. That is great that Savannah won second place for her art work. The purple flower is creative.

Happy Easter to you, my dear friend.

    love, ~Sheri

    1. Thank you Sheri. I am not a big fan of trampolines. I did not think the little kids could jump as high as Layla was going. Yikes. There where padded mats on the floor around it though. Luke is growing so fast , he will be two this week. Max is 3yrs. 4mos. Layla their cousin is 4 yrs. Time marches on...look at your little baby girls. LOL I was proud of Savannah, the quietest of girls , winning an award for art. Wishing you and your family the best Easter. Hope your son is totally well now. Blessings to all, xoxo, love you, Susie
p.s. Ted goes Thursday into the hospital , chemo for a week, then the transplant.

    1. Debbie, Our Luke (great grandson) has C.F. he is blessed with caring, loving parents. Plus having a big brother like Max and a sweet doggie, Madison. :)
Ted has always loved mowing. I used to do the yard in town with a push mower and I loved that myself. Too much yard here. I think our neighbor man will mow for us and not charge too much. LOL. Hope anyways. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
