Pleasant Weekend.....

The weather in Indiana was the best this weekend . My daughter said it was chilly for her and her husband, so they did not play golf as they wanted.  I know this , because we drove by and sat in the car while Angie and Mark stood in their driveway and talked with us. I enjoyed that visit so much, but long to hug my children.  Distancing isn't easy for families.
You all will be happy to know I did get the walkway grass cleaned off the edges. Gain about 6 inches more of walkway. My gosh, I can not let that go so long.

I dug up some of this Red Nancy (it should be called lavender) and plant in a spot by the front steps.
This was one of the wonderful sunsets. .Everyone mowed their lawns this weekend. It was a good time to do yard work. Ted mowed again yesterday and I weed whacked. Even did a bit at the neighbor's :)
A wee nest  here and there. About a million of those tiny wrens around here.  Seems all they do is fight. , we hear them from sun up till sundown.  Ted said, "don't they ever shut up?" LOL
I hope all of you were safe this weekend. So much going on and this virus distancing. Praying for all of us.  XO

  1. You folks got a lot done! You have wrens and I have chipmunks who "chip" angrily at each other all day. They do get annoying!

Praying that the social distancing is not an issue soon. We can't go on like this forever.

    1. Vee, I don't mind the stay home and distancing to help man kind. But it sure is not how humans want to live. Oh my, we have chipmunks too, squirrels and rabbits. LOL. I only know rabbits make a sound if a young girl named Liz grabs a baby one up. LOL My daughter did that once. Blessings to you sweet Vee, stay safe. xoxo, Susie

    1. Thank you Bless. I saw more people wearing masks today. It made me feel a bit more at ease. Although, where ever I go I wear one and wash my hands . we use sanitizers in the vehicles till we get home and the first things we do is wash our hands. It's a habit now, hopefully a good one. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

  11. I chuckled at your hubby's comment about the birds ☺ Looks like you accomplished much, busy bee. Gorgeous yard!! Glad you got to visit with some family but do I ever long with you for more than 'from a distance'!! I have to pray constantly to keep my head and heart in the right frame of mind. It's getting harder, I confess. BUT, we are well and we have ways to connect for which I am so grateful.
    Take care, my friend!

It felt like old times with Ted and I working together on the yard. We sat and visited on the porch. I loved it. Blessings to you and your family, xoxo, love, Susie

  15. Hi, Susie! We've been "safe at home" here since March 13; groceries delivered; Zoom for family time; curbside pickup for prescriptions; drivethrough for banking needs; until data is more promising, that's our routine here! You are up to your usual with lovely flowers! So glad to hear that you are doing well! - XOXO!

    1. Wanda, I think we are all needing some good hugs and lots of love. Seems everyone is stressed. Ted is happy with our hummingbirds. I put the feeder where he can see it from his recliner, so he has enjoyed some armchair bird watching. LOL We laughed about the wrens, as we were sitting out and trying to have a nice conversation. LOL The weather was just amazing this weekend. Blessings to you and Don. Stay safe, xoxo, love you, Susie

    1. Thank you Linda. I was happy to read your post about being a somewhat more normal time than we have had of late. Ted was happy to do some things he could not do for so long. We even went to the DQ drive thru
Got an ice cream and went to the park to people watch. Like walking there dogs running. Some little ones were playing on the playground. It had been fenced in a long time to stop the gatherings. We watched a couple sit on the creek bank and yell to the golfers across the way at the course. LOL It was sitting in the house. We wear our masks when the windows of the vehicles are opened or we get out. But just sitting and enjoying the park was great fun. Blessings to you and LD. We love you guys here at this house. :):) xoxo,Susie

  25. Susie, the walkway looks great. You did a really nice job getting the weeds out. And Ted did a fantastic job mowing the lawn, it looks green and groomed. So glad you got to see and talk with Angie. Those Wren nests are sweet, but I can imagine how loud they can be early in the morning. Before we moved, I used to hear a bird very early in the morning. I think it made its nest right by our house, and it was so LOUD.

I hope you have many good June days ahead, Susie. Take care and stay safe.

  28. Susie, you are surrounded by such beauty. The sunset is special. You are ambitious and getting stuff done. We got some zinnia plants to put out but if we don't get out in the early morning or late evening then it is too hot to do much. Maybe we are just lazy!, You think? Isn't it hard to see your kids and not give and get hugs. Hopefully soon..Take care and stay well..xxoJudy

    1. Judy, I cried as we drove away from my daughter's. I miss my family. I try my best to be brave, but gosh any more I feel weepy all the time. The stress of everything is getting to me.
I sure do not think you and your husband are lazy. It's gets to hot at times, and that's dangerous to be working in those heats. I get so red in the face when I get too hot. I want to get grass seed , bird seed and some plants...but can't really go to those stores. Trying to stay safe. Groceries is about all I go out for. Take care there. I think you can maybe plant one at a time. Soon too early or too late and you'll get those blasted mosquitoes bothering you. We will be smelling like bleach or bug spray. LOL. Blessings to you and the Captain. xoxo, Susie
