On Our Drives.....

When we can't go anywhere and we get bored of staying put...we take drives.
This is a pretty summer sky, blue with puffy white clouds..
We don't normally drive anywhere after dark.  I miss family, friends, and townspeople. I like to see people out and about ...but not in crowds and certainly not without masks for a few more weeks. Praying it won't be months.
This is a short up date on my sister Jeanie. She was taken from the Saxony hospital she went to on Thursday and sent to Methodist. They did surgery late yesterday afternoon. She had an ulcer on her  artery ( I do not know what that means). But they put a stent in and cleaned up the ulcer. She will be staying in the hospital for the weekend maybe a bit longer.  The drs. told Jeanie's daughter , that she did very well.Thank you for your prayers my friends.  I believe  that there is great power in prayer and I am so thankful.  Thankful  to all of you who wished Jeanie well, thought good things for her and the prayers. Please stay safe. XO

    1. Thank you for the prayers, i appreciate them. It will do your soul good to see some other views of nature. I like going thru our park. I roll down the windows and listen for children laughing or squealing at the slash pad and pool. I used to be able to hear children at recess when I live in town. Made me think of the happy days when my daughters were young and going to school. Bless you, xoxo, Susie

  5. Oh that's great news about your sister Susie. I'm so happy to hear she's doing well. That first photo is so pretty with the sun setting! I'm not a big fan of night driving either. I don't see too well at night and the oncoming headlights blind the dickens out of me. I hope you both have a wonderful weekend! :)

  7. Your sister is yet another proof that prayers work. God's always busy, but not too busy for any of us! Her situation sounds scary, I never heard of that happening, but thankfully, they found it. I'll keep praying for

  14. My sister and I were saying today that everyone is comfortable at a different point concerning people, masks, eating out, etc. Some things are just a person's preference and some really matter. We are not permitted to go for a drive. If a policeman stops you, you must give a destination and reason.

So glad to hear the news about your sister. That is so good.

Prayers for your sister and I am so glad you and Ted can at least get out for drives. Being in the country has been our saving grace. Not many places we need to go and the Covid count is so low here. But, alas, we will be back in the city on Tuesday and will be there for 18 days before we come back down here. Love you guys!

  25. So they did do the surgery! I'm glad they got it done, and sounds like it was a success. I do hope she'll be recovering real quick and be home and stronger real soon! I'm glad they figured out what it was. Yes, we like to go for long drives too, especially out in the country. I wouldn't like to live there, but i do love to go see it. ha ha! Is Ted feeling ok? Hope y'all had a nice weekend. My gosh it's SO DANG HOT HERE. Is it like that there? Anyway, going for a drive is good for us for a change of scenery plus we get to stay inside where it's cool.
