Autumn Is Near.....

Caught this butterfly on a bloom.  Many flowers have withered away.   You see one here and there hanging on. We had a powerful rain Monday late afternoon and over night. Had 5 inches of rain here and none in the next county.  We needed it. But we also lost power for almost two hours. With that kind of rain, you need sump pumps to work. Thankfully we were so dry here , just as the power came back on the pumps started pumping and no wet basement. Hooray.
My goodness we had some days that were just perfect. Low humidity, could open windows and air out the house. I love when I can do this.
The mums are blooming already.  Hope the bees get to work them over.   I have not seen many honey bees , but other kinds, not so sure what they are .
Ted got to see the orthopedic doctor on Tuesday. He has tendonitis and got a cortisone shot. His shoulder is better , will have P.T. next Wednesday.  But thankful it was not a torn rotator cuff, as the N.P. said.  As soon as Ted had relief from his shoulder , I could see the difference in his outlook.  We are hanging on. Thank you everyone for all the good prayers and wishes. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I am not sure if I will be able to blog...because honestly I have not idea about the new blogger.  Please everyone stay safe. XO

  6. We still have butterflies here too. They are so very cheerful. I saw one flitting by the car again when I went out yesterday/ We had heave remains too and also lost power. We don't realized how much we take that for granted until wed re without it. Thankfully I have a gas stove so IA could still boil water to make some instant coffee. I only had cappuccino on hand so that was a treat. Hope you have many more good days ahead!

I miss my mommy, she has been gone 14 years yesterday. I drove by her old house yesterday and came home and cried myself. Blessings, be safe. xoxo, Susie

  16. it is so hard to be happy when you are in pain, harder yet to pretend you are ok when you're not!! the picture of the butterfly is gorgeous, we get a lot of those in this area. i have been having a lot of trouble with the new blogger, you can "revert to legacy blogger" for now. that option is in the lower left corner when you start a "new post". that's what i have been doing and i am not sure what i will do when i am forced into the new blogger format, i don't like it and i can't space anything right!! good luck with that!! best wishes to both ted and yourself!!

I see yellow butterflies around here a lot. Oh my, you had a lot of rain! It will be good for your area. Those cortisone shots always seem to help. 23. Hi there Susie, so glad to see you had stopped in. Pretty butterfly! I've seen hardly any so far this Fall....I think they are all AT YOUR HOUSE AND AT DIANAS down in Florida!--LOL. 1. I have loved seeing butterflies this year. I always hold my hand out for them to land and Ted just laughs, because they never do. LOL. Oh I wish people would back off gathering to many to close and with booze...they tend to forget. There have been bands playing music for free in our city park and people have been dancing but not close together...so that can be fun. Blessings , stay safe, xoxo, Susie

  24. September has wings this year! Not as beautiful as your pretty butterfly, though! I am glad to hear Ted's shoulder will heal! It has been a stressful year, and it feels so upsetting. I agree about the changes to Blogger but possibly they are enabling the platform to evolve with newer internet coding formats... I don't like them or the new Facebook either. Our community is getting ready for Fall... Too much unnecessary social gathering in my opinion... We even had a circus tonight in our little town in the midst of our largest outbreak of the whole pandemic... I enjoy your blog!

    1. Gayla, I understand about the bigger gatherings going on. Like you I ask myself , "Why?" when we have more case than ever . This month is going faster than August...making me feel kind of sad. 26. Hi Susie, don't you go anywhere. Play around with the new one and just don't try to do anything fancy and it will work out. So glad Ted can get his shoulder taken care of. My hubby tripped going up our front steps and hit his shoulder. He keeps saying it is getting better but it still hurts and it has been awhile, so have to prod him to go to the doc.
