We Have Fall Now.....

It's been warm ,but now it's really chilly. The draught has kept the leaves from being colorful. Some real color here and there.
Crops have pretty much been harvested. We had a few days of rain. Today has been cold. I had the furnace man here yesterday. He has my heat going.
It' Fall for real now. A month ago we had lots of festivals in our state. When I think of pumpkins, I always recall when Ted and I would pass this house , a couple towns to the east of us. I was amazed at a pumpkin hooked up to a block and tackle. I have not been by this house this year. I wondered if they still grew these huge pumpkins and melons.

I miss my Ted and the great life we had. We traveled a lot . Now I rarely go 50 miles from home. I will wish all of you a good Autumn. Be safe and hold your loved ones tight. OXOX

Spring ? Maybe, Oh Wait, Yes Spring....

These pictures are from an old file of spring days, a few years back. When I would decorate the dining table.
Love the pink blossoms . I do have a small crabapple here and a just beginning lilac bush. Pray I see blooms on it one day.
I don't know how your weather has been , ours has been warm, almost hot and today it's cold. Waiting for mother's day to plant some things here.  I have mowed twice and weed whacked twice. Used the leaf blower to clear the walks and garage floor.  I have painted a handrail on the back porch. Before all that, I had picked up enough sticks to make a new tree. That reminds me to get that yard trash to the alley for the city crew to haul away. They take it to recycle and turn it all into mulch. Much of which is used in our city park.
Hope all of you are doing well and looking forward to nicer days to be outdoors. I have had birthday gatherings, bingo, yard work and music group to keep me busy. Since I joined the American Legion, I have many new things in my life. I am in charge of sending out the birthday cards to the ladies of the  Auxiliary. I like adding a line or two of good wishes.
Take care and hold your loved ones tight. XO

Time Slipping By.....

I always want to see full moons. I try to get photos of them. This is one of my favorites because it's over a very big cattle farm east of here, and I love the white fencing.
Here's another on a cold dark night.
Here you can see it's a cold day. I can not recall if it was morning or going on evening time.
My friends, this is what I am longing to see . I tried to get our latest moon shot and it was so cold and icy, I did not dare go out for pictures. Our weather has been a bit of everything. Seeing the sun helps my spirits so much.  We are in for a week of single digit days. I think of so many of you and hope you are warm and well.

That's another thing, so many people have been coughing. Come on grown ups, cover when coughing.   Children know to cough into the inside area of their elbows or pull the neck of their shirt to cover their mouths. I always nod at those I see doing that.

I am still going to bingo with friends. I love when I get time with my daughters and their families. My friends and I are going to music group once a week. Listening to people singing and playing instruments is so good for our souls. It's mostly country music, some rock, and Gospel.

I am asking all you to be safe and take care of each other. Blessings to all, xoxo.
