Blue Skies....

Oh yeah....loving these blue skies and the sunshine. Good thing it's still cold, or I would be trying to dig around in the flowerbeds. LOL. We are in for some rain/snow mix this evening. I do not want what the northeast is going to be getting . As a matter of fact, I am praying for all the people there. Hope they keep their power. One to two feet of snow, that is more than I want to see in two years.
Thanks to all of you who let me know, I am not alone in my Walmart complaints. I do shop local when I can. I had gone to lunch yesterday in Kokomo. Met up with my daughter Karen. We thought since we were out we'd just go to Walmart to get some things. Lesson learned !!!
I would like to hear from some of you about what you do to motivate yourselves. I am beginning to feel like a sloth. At this moment, if I jumped on a turtle's back , I would say ,"wheeee"  The turtle would say, "one at a time, please." :):)

  1. It's the weather I think. We all are on that turtle ride. I went to the craft mall and rented a booth...that didn't help either, I just want to putz around. Let me know if you find something. I like the commercial where the kids talk about their grandma being slow!

  2. Did my message not go through.....Anyway. I love the commercial that Peggy is talking about. We probably have a little bit of S.A.D.D. I am the same way. I like the jumping off a turtle.....hah.....right there with you. We will be okay as long as we stay away from WalMart, hah.

  4. Nothing like having company over to jolt me out of sloth!

  5. It always helps me to avoid the "sloths" by being sure I have some varied activity that keeps me busy. Then, when finding I am displeased with myself, it is a good idea to just choose one area and work for change there. "Slow and steady wins the race." Even on a turtle's back.:-) xo Nellie

  6. I call that feeling the "Winter Funk" and I always lose my mojo during Feb, but thankfully it always come back during Spring. Hang tight, it's not a permanent feeling.

  7. Your last comment is so funny! Don't we ALL feel like that, especially when the weather is cold and skies are gray. I guess it helps me to turn on some peppy music! lol Just getting some projects started gets me motivated. Once I start....I feel more energetic!

  10. Your turtle comment cracked me up, Susie. We are in the middle of winter and spring, and I can see why you are unmotivated. I keep thinking of Valentines Day and the nice time I will have when we go to our favorite restaurant this weekend. The flowers will start blooming, and do you do much gardening? I always like to do spring cleaning too....out with the old and in with the new. I hope you start to feel better soon, my dear.

  11. Oh sweetie, the turtle comment was darling. I have decent weather most of the time, not today, but I have not left the house except for one time this week. I am in a terrible state so am in no position to give advice.

  12. -waving- From the NE. :-)

In NYS though, not coastal. It does look like a "biggggggie." Especially closer to the coast.

  15. We are having snow and rain right now. Very scary what the Northeast is going to get, I heard 2 feet of snow.

I have to read your post about Walmart.

I can be SO unmotivated this time of year. People think I'm busy but I condense a weeks worth of activity on my blog so it sounds like a ton of busyness. I once heard, "The action comes before the motivation" and sometimes it works for me...just starting a project or the laundry (lol). Hang in there, Susie!

    XO,
    Jane
