Christmas Lights...

This sweet display isn't out this year...I just loved it, so I am showing it again. There's a tractor sitting where this was , but I don't think it's so Christmasy with a big old rabbit sitting in the tractor seat.LOL
This is in the town north of here...just down the road 6 miles. I haven't been out driving around enough to see many  light displays.
I am not a fan of those blow up things..but I understand if people do it for children. Especially little ones. Are all of you ready for the holidays yet??
I still have cleaning and wrapping to do...Oh where is that maid service?   I laugh every time I see that commercial about Swiffers. The old guys says "I make dirt"...no kidding...I have one of those myself. :):) So I better get busy. Mostly posting so I can check out everyone's nice decorations.  Hope you are having a good day. Our temperature is much better today. xo

  1. The lights are great for the children.
I, like you, think they are a bit over done at times!
I'm still decorating, but the shopping and the cards are done-yeah!

  2. Hi Susie,
Good luck with your cleaning and wrapping. I cleaned today too and I finished all my wrapping a few days ago. Now I am on to baking. I love this time of year even with all the things that keep us busy. It is fun to put on the Christmas Music and bake and sing. Love it.

  3. I love seeing the Christmas lights at night in neighborhoods. We live down such a long driveway that no one sees ours except visitors and family so we only do lights across the picket fence.

Busy cleaning too, so back at it!

  5. Love the lights! One of my favorite things to do is drive around and look at them. I love that old guy who makes dirt! I am in the same boat as you right now. Cleaning and not getting things done yet...but I have no idea where the warmer weather is. Its not here! LOL SO ready for spring.

  6. Susie,
I love all the lights and the decorated houses. There is a neighborhood in my town and all the houses are lit up with their own special theme. We enjoy driving around and seeing all the creativity.

Thanks for visiting the blog tour today.

    Love,
    ~Sheri

  8. The kid in me loves driving around and seeing all the decorated houses at night.
I have some wrapping to do and the Christmas cards. Then there is always the last minute house cleaning. Oh I'd love to have maid service! :)

  10. What beautiful lights, Susie. I can't stand those blow up things either..lol...I have never liked them-but to each their own. I am sure that there are people that don't like my fairies hanging around either. Hope you had a great day- xo Diana

  11. Hi Susie, I love the lights and I can look out and see some of my neighbors. I haven't put up any decorations. I don
t like the blown up decorations. I see more of them deflating for some reason and I don't know why. Some of the kids neighbors had their lights up before Halloween. Have a wonderful day. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.

  12. Oh, MY!!!! Don't get me started on "I make DIRT!!" That must be Louis Dean's other name!! I had cleaned and vacuumed the whole house Monday afternoon when we left for Amber's. Just in him loading the stuff in the car he tracked in SO MUCH dirt!!! Leaves and debris from the porch since the ice had stripped the pecan trees of all their leaves and the birds had been seeking shelter under the porch roof so there was a lot of DIRT out THERE to track IN!!! Okay.....calm down, Linda!

I do not care for those blow up decorations either. What is it that people like about them? I must be on some kind of 'tare!'

We are just home from spending three days in Quadville and I DO have some cleaning to do before my Ladies Tea Party on Tuesday evening. No problem in getting it clean......just in KEEPING it that way!!!
    So.....Merry Christmas?
I really am merry in my heart of hearts....just on a neat freak trip at the moment!
