Piano Recital....

Yesterday Emm'a piano teacher gave a recital at the nursing home where my daughter works. She had 33 children in this recital. They were very good, all of them. There were about four out standing pupils.
Emma played Angels WE Have Heard On High...she actually did very well.  I had her practice right before we went out the door, to get to the nursing home.
Yes, I forgot my camera !!! My phone doesn't take photos, I have never minded that till yesterday. So This picture of Pooh and Papaw was taken when she stayed with us last time. You can see she loves her papaw. I truly enjoyed listening to all those young people play. Some were entire families, of two and three children. I always think that makes a happy home filled with music. Hope all of you had a wonderful weekend. Mine was very nice. Stay safe on the bad roads. xo

  2. Well, I know what it is like to forget your camera! I do that often enough myself!

I hope Emma is enjoying piano lessons. I do very little playing these days, but enjoyed learning years and years ago. xo Nellie

  8. What a lovely thing to do with piano students. I know the seniors must have thoroughly enjoyed all the young people and their performance.

  9. She will appreciate knowing how to play that piano. CC took lessons up until her third year of college. I have been to many piano events. I know the seniors enjoyed Emma very much. Happy Christmas

  10. What a lovely idea for a recital site. Our Girl Scout troop sang at a senior home at Christmas for several years. I do like having a camera in my phone. It took me awhile to get used to it, but it's my mainstay now for pictures. So convenient!

  11. She is darling with her PawPaw. Our kids used to sing and play at nursing homes, too. That is a wonderful outreach for children and families alike.

I am going to a concert that SweetCheeks and Ria are in tonight. Should be fun- xo Diana

  13. What a sweet thing to do. I know they really enjoyed having the kids come in and the music just makes things better, no matter how hard it is. I always wanted to play and begged for lessons, but no.
