Green Things.....

My lilac bushes is leafing out. That seemed to have happened fast. I had just checked it two days earlier. I hope a cold snap for today and tomorrow doesn't hurt it.
This is a bed of lilies growing. I can see I need to redo the trim bricks. Actually I have about three places that need attention. I don't think I will try working out in the yard today. Too windy and wet.
Today is my classmate brunch, in town. So I am looking forward to being with the girls, we have not been together since December. I'll post about it anything fun happens. Hope your day is good, please pray for those in need today. xo

  3. I'm staying inside, the wind is mighty this morning. My bricks all seem to move themselves during the winter too. I had a lot of straightening to do. Blessings!

  4. Good Morning Susie, My Magnolia is beautiful, but it is going to freeze. It is 30 degrees, but the wind chill is 16. We will get down in the 20's tonight. We had rain, thunder, and lightening before we got the snow and have patches of black ice. Just what happen to spring. It was 80 Saturday and 71 before the storms came through. Have a wonderful day and thank you for stopping by. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.

    1. Shirley, I just some magnolias blooming around our area...I hate when the weather changes drastically, once things have begun to bloom. Hope it doesn hurt your plants and trees. Blessings, be safe if you go outside...scoot your feet so as not to slip. xoxo,Susie

  5. Last year I planted some rhubarb in April....I remembered it the other night in bed, about 3:00 am!! The next day I went out to our little garden area (right outside the door) and there they were, all three plants, coming up!!! WOOHOOO!

I would not have been able to resist that little white jug either!!! And my Momma would have told me the same thing!!!!

    1. Cindy, When I was akid...I could have eaten a ton of rhubarb. I do not if I could now. I have never had it in pie...the only way I know of eating other than just picking it and eating it. You may have to cover your plants...what is going on with our weather. xoxo,Susie

  7. We have some tiny blooms on the lilac here, as well as blooms on the blueberry bushes. It will be interesting to see what the predicted cold snap does to our growing things.:-( It is impossible to cover up all of it. xo Nellie

  8. Susie,
Lilies always remind me of my niece, Lillie. I would love to see your lilac bush when it is all bloomed.

Have a fun day with the girls, Susie.
I will see some of my old friends on Wednesday. I guess we both are missing old friends. :~)

  11. Your lilacs are coming out fast. Mine is quite full too. I sure hope the freeze doesn't get them. The lilies are pretty hardy so I'm not worried about them. I have 4 Peony Roses that I'm going to cover or they'll be gone. Let's hope this is the last round. Hope you have a nice week. Hugs, xo

  13. Hey, Susie! Thanks so much for coming by my page and leaving such a cute note! Ohhh, your poor finger; I could almost feel the pain! Amazing we all lived through childhood.

My lilac bloomed today and it's early, too. Now a freeze is called for tomorrow night and I sure hope it doesn't kill my little tree.

By the way, the little white pitcher you bought? I never would have been able to pass it up. It's not only adorable but I happen to have a thing for white dishes, pitchers, and the like :D

    Great seeing you !
