I Am Thankful......

I am thankful for my big family. Although while growing up, I wondered ,"why couldn't I have been an only child?"  Used to imagine my real parents would come get me one day .LOL I am also thankful for friends. Some of my classmates and I meet once a month for a gabfest brunch.
I am thankful for having faith. That God will see me through.  I know that he has been with me all my life.
I am thankful for this great country. Even when we can't seem to get those we vote into office to do the right thing. Well that's  another reason to have faith. Keep on praying for all the leaders of this world.
Did I tell you I am thankful for food ? LOL. This is a shot of last years' Christmas desserts. You might need your faith to get past this too.
I want to tell all of you that I am thankful for my God, country, family and friends. I am so very thankful for my blog family too.  XO

  2. Lol, I wanted to be an only child too, kept searching for my birth certificate to see if I had been adopted.'
When we had children we only had one, I always told her that she got to be what I'd always wanted to be. But in retrospect I wish we'd had siblings for her.
I too am thankful for my family.

    1. You get what I was joking about...but at the time of growing up, I may have been serious. :):) I love everyone of my siblings. But I know many are not the kids our parents raised us to me. I know my mom would be happy that we do get along. We do try to be kind to one another. LOL. I have 4 daughters. Blessings to you and yours for a great Thanksgiving. xoxo,Susie

  6. A very good Thanksgiving post. A grateful heart! God bless.
In junior high I wrote a fictional story about myself that I had been adopted. I kept looking at my birth certificate, too. I think there is some kind if romanticism about being adopted. One if my dearest friends was adopted and I see now it isn't always what we thought it was in our dream world.

    2. I fat finger, can't spell and get in a hurry...so oh believe me I make mistakes. LOL. My husband mother left all her children letters when she passed...I told my husband I know his was going to say he was adopted. LOL. He is so much more level headed than his siblings. I look too much like my mom to be adopted. :) Blessings, xoxo,Susie

    1. Munir, When I was dieting once, I keep singing the song about food from the musical 'Oliver" My husband thought I made that song up on my own till we saw the musical...he was shocked. I told him I was singing it because I wanted more food. LOL. Oh that man. We are blessed aren't we ? oxox, Susie
