Lunch & Shopping....

Hoping to have lunch here, at McAlister's Deli. They have salads , soups and sandwiches of every description. I am wanting some good chicken salad.  But if we do not eat here, it will be fine. I am going to be shopping with my oldest daughter and her daughter . :):)
I am taking along my shopping bag that I received from a give-away at the Lavender Dreamer. Thank you again Diane, this has been the handiest and might add the chicest little shopping bag. I take it everywhere.
We are going to be doing a bit of Christmas shopping. Which may wear me out, we will see. LOL  When I think about my old days of shopping, wow-wee. I used to go to the mall early everyday before I would go to work. That is how I used to shop. Spend hours and hundreds of dollars, to get things everyone needed or wanted. No more...it is cheaper and smarter to just give money. Doesn't mean I care less, just means I am saving my feet. :)
The sun is shining and it is to warm up...oh happy day. I will be with loved ones, I am blessed. Hoping all of you a great day. XO

    1. Kris, I had the chicken salad on a croissant with a small side of pasta salad. I ate the sandwich only. LOL. it was so good. My daughter had a grilled chicken sandwich. We shopped plenty for me. We laughed. Listened to Christmas music to and from . So much fun. My granddaughter didn't make it. Sad. Blessings for great weekend, xoxo,Susie

    1. Mildred, It was a grand time. I love being with my daughters any chance I can. We got in the mood to shop by listening to Christmas music in car as we talked and laughed. I even bought a few gifts myself. Bless you and yours, hope your weekend is a fun one. xoxo,Susie

  3. McAllisters is one of my favorite places..I always get their Potato Soup in a bread bowl...yum'
When we were in New Mexico last summer, I bought all 9 grandgirls C'mas gifts...I need to buy 4 grandboys something but will probably give them money. I like to find a little something to go with it. I do a lot of shopping on line, which saves these olden legs of mine...just can't walk like I used to.
    Happy day....xo

    1. Bj, I had the chicken salad on a croissant...so fresh and good. My daughter ate a grilled chicken sandwich and soup.. It was a great lunch and some fun shopping. I saw a pair of men pants today, they were 52 waist 34 length...that's scary sad. My ankles are hurting, but it was worth it to be with my daughter and have so much fun. My g.daughter didn't get to come along. Hope your weekend is a blessed one. xoxo,Susie

  4. I hope your shopping and lunch turned out well. I used to shop like that but not anymore. I avoid stores like the plague after Thanksgiving. I lean more and more on the money side. I hate seeing gifts that I thoughtful being pitched. So far I haven't shopped for the adults, just the kids.
    Happy Holidays.

    1. Debby, I just do not like shopping any more. Can only do short trips at that. Even the grocery makes me nuts at times. LOL. Oh I know what you mean about buying some thing you thought was a great gift and never seeing it. LOL. I even give money on birthdays. Now for my Teddy Bear, I will buy him gifts...or my sisters. I some times make them gift bags or baskets. Hope you are feeling good. I want to say, no wonder you could sleep after all those med tests. Bless you, xoxo,Susie

  6. I love your shopping bag. Congrats on the win! I haven't done any shopping and think it is going to be done online this year. My poor old legs and feet won't take it anymore either!

    1. Kathy, I actually won that last year...but I use it all the time. Girl, my ankles are hurting me...but it was worth it to be with my daughter and have so much fun. We ate at the deli and boy it was tasty. My daughter said she did lots of her shopping already on line. We did get 20 % off at Kohl's. Hope you enjoy your weekend. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

    1. Penny, I wish I had my good feet back , more than my eye sight. You know how our eyes need glasses as we age... I read once where our eyes are at their very best when we are 8 years old. Well no kidding. I like fashion still, but with achy ankles and feet, I rarely wear anything but sneakers. That was man's down fall on shoes. LOL.Blessings for a great weekend, xoxo,Susie

I am like you there, I could absolutely eat it again tomorrow. LOL. I did buy couple gifts myself. Plus some truffles. Angie and I ate one on the way home. LOL. Wish you could have been with us. I would have bought your lunch. We laughed so much. Enjoy listening to Christmas music going and returning. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  9. My shopping days are way, way down too, and I am so happy. I bought lots of work presents and that really wore me down. Not fun and expensive. With a few close friends we do something instead of buying and yes, my goddaughter gets cash and one or two fun things. I picked up a pretty pink scarf for her a while ago and will look for a few other little things. Have a great weekend!

    1. Carol, A pink scarf sounds so nice. I have a faded square one in pink...I would really like a long striped in various shades of pink one. You know If I would just go to the fabric store and buy some of those materials that do not even need hemming...that would work. LOL. There's no way I could get in some of those crazed shopping crowds. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Boston Boy, I think the weather has a lot to do with the crowds too. Can you imagine the panic feeling if you had kids and were snowed in and not able to shop. LOL. Glad you had a good day with Arlene. Just getting out of your house for fun is a good day. xoxo,Susie

  11. Oh, what fun! I hope you survived your shopping day and had an amazing time with your daughter! I remember those Mall shopping days/nights (after work) and weekends! Oh my...at least we can say we did it, right? Lol Money is what we do too...

  12. Oh, I know just what you mean, Susie. It seems my feet won't last too long at the mall anymore. I did a little shopping for my son so far. I told the girls, not too much on your list this year. I think giving money is a good idea because the older kids really like that anyways.

Isn't it funny how we used to go all day shopping and it didn't bother us too much? Now, I have to stop and rest every now and then haha.

    love,
    ~Sheri
