Naked Trees.....

This is how the trees are looking....pretty bare.  I know it's late in the year, but for some reason, it does not seem that it should be this late. I think when we are busy we do not notice just how much time is getting away .
My sister is going today to see about her senior citizen apartment.  Only older people can live there. Everything is taken care of by a maintenance crew.  So she will not have to worry about anything. She will be a 1/2 block from a grocery, two blocks from the library, and 1 1/2 blocks from the P.O.  This will be a the perfect place for her. Oh no stairs for her to climb either.
It's chilly but nice out.  I am going out later today. Just to get some fresh air.  Hope all of you can enjoy this day.  XO

  1. Susie, I loved your comment so much today. I didn't realize you had so many members of your family working for the railroad too. I heard the train horns this morning too when I woke up early.

I hope your sister likes the place she is looking at. It sounds just right for her, and no stairs, yaaay. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the single story house we have now. Those stairs were starting to annoy me haha.

    Have a sweet day, Susie.

    love,

    1. Sheri, Some times the train would sound like a blue sound so far away. But in winter, I always felt like hey I am not alone , there's people out there. LOL. It's my sister Brenda, the one with the ostio. She has such pain at times. Hope your day is a great one. xoxo,Susie

  2. What a sweet little town you live in. I love the picture.

The train is not too far from my house and I can hear the whistles in the night. I always wonder who is on it and where they are going.

  3. Yep ~ naked trees here too. Where did the summer go ... where did the fall season go? We have snow in the forecast for tonight and tomorrow. I guess our winter months are coming on whether we're ready for them or not.

    1. Mel, It did seem as if our summer and fall just went way too fast. It feels like the fall should just be starting nt leaving us with old man winter on our heels. Hope you and your family have a peaceful winter. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  5. I feel the same way that you do, Susie. That somehow the fall has simple gotten away from us. I am hoping for an apartment in Atlanta next year that will be within walking distance of all of those things. xo Laura

Our trees still have leaves but the elm is nearly bare! Fall arrived late this year!

    1. Linda, I hope you can hang onto fall. Now today was one of those rare heavenly day. 61 degrees and sunny all day long and now a big sweet moon is shining in the sky. Love it. There are 3 of those apartment buildings in this town and I am so happy for my sister to get one. It's an affordable place too. They work around your income. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  7. Susie, Even with bare trees, it is still so pretty. Senior living places are so good and help folks stay active and involved. I took Hunter out for a walk and it was quite pleasant; next week we are supposed to get a cold front.
    Have a great evening.

    1. Noreen, The place my sister is gettingis affordable housing for seniors. It isn't where they have clubs or game time or crafts. That would surely be nice though. We had a wonderful day today 61 degrees and sunny all day long. This evening there is a wonderful big moon. We too are suppose to have big weather change coming our way. I guess there is no escaping it. When your dog look so soft and pretty...I would only walk him on the sidewalks. LOL. I would not want him to get dirty. Bless you, xoxo,Susie

  8. I think it is early for trees to be bare! We still have a lot of leaves on the trees here. The apartment your sister is moving to sounds very nice. I think she will enjoy living on one level. We will one day have to move for that reason too.

    1. Kelly, I miss seeing all the pretty fall colors on the trees...it's kind of sad. Plus I am missing our birds. My sister got that apartment and will be signing her papers on next Wed. It very affordable for her. I think she is going to like being so close to things and not have to drive all the time. I want to move back to town...because I can see where I can't do as much our here any more..such as raking the yard. I still shovel the drives . I did not do much of anything in the flowerbeds this year. xoxo,Susie

The apartment sounds great. Wonderful that everything is so convenient.

    1. Carol, It was the cold snap and all that wind that stripped the leaves here. We are in for a bad change soon and I am not looking forward to that. Hope you had a great time in the south. xoxo, Susie

  12. When my granddaughter was just a couple years old we were driving down the road one fall and she looked out the window and said "Look at those Naked Trees" I had never thought of them that way before, now I do each fall. She will turn 16 next month. Through the eyes of a child.
    Have a good refreshing day!
