One Person....

How does one person get so much stuff????  This is a joke photo...it's actually the city wide rummage sale. LOL.  I just am pointing out how one person can accumulate a ton of stuff. My sister Brenda had been in her apartment two years. She had purged when she moved into it. But oh my goodness, when we went to help moved clothes and boxes, on Tuesday, there's was plenty.  Yesterday, they moved more , while I was with Ted at the heart clinic. Oh by the way, he got another fine report., for Teddy Bear.  :):)
I will go help my sister more today. Got to get her settled .  The sun is shining at this very moment and I am loving it.. I have been watching the weather maps and it is not looking good for much of this U.S. of A.  Time for hats, coats and gloves.  Maybe boots and snow shovels. Waaaa, the older I get the less I like winter.
Hopefully all of you are having a good day and a fun weekend.  Be kind to someone if you get the chance. XO

    1. I think you are right every weekend would be good to just gather a box or sack of something to give away. Yes, My sister was pretty thankful. I took some food over too, cause I knew she wasn't ready to have anything to fix. It was some good laughs . xoxo,Susie

  4. Somehow, "stuff" seems to have appeal for many of us. We purged a lot when we moved here 10 years ago. I shudder to think what we would have to purge once again prior to another move! Surely not any of my dishes!LOL Stay safe and warm, Susie! Yay for the good heart report! xo Nellie

  5. Glad your honey got good news from the doctor, Susie. Thank you so very much for your card, dear friend. You are such a thoughtful person. That's why I love you. We have snow here, and the canal is starting to ice over already. Nothing I can do..so I might as well embrace the season.
    Sending you a big hug!
    Love, Debbie xoxo

    1. Hi Debbie, Do you feel that our summer and fall went quickly? I just can't get over it...that is why faci8ng winter isn't appealing to me. I guess to sit and not worry is the way to handle winter. I need to do journaling again. I actually like to write to my kids and sisters. I mean snail mail .LOL. Debbie, you are always going to be my favorite blog sister. Love you too, xoxo,Susie

    1. Linda, We clean out and go get more LOL. I have read a thing about going through your house and throw 20 things in a bag to throw away or give away. If we did that often , well hey, it would not take long to clean up. Take care and have a great weekend, xoxo,Susie

  8. My hubby's grandmother was like...except everything was labeled and organized. It was amazing the stuff we took out of her home when she passed. I have several pieces and am thankful to have them.

Good news for Ted! Whoo Hooo...that always makes you feel good, doesn't it?

Happy moving with your sister. xo Diana

    1. Diana, If it's worthy treasure they are meant for family. I would love something of my grandparents. I gave my granddaughter my mother's old meat platter as part of her wedding shower gift. I told her she likes to cook, so who better to have it. She was thrilled. That touched my heart. Speaking of hearts, my Teddy did well and I am so happy. He was too. My sis and I got her kitchen up and running. She can cook now. LOL. Snow this weekend for us. Today was all sunshine and I loved it. xoxo,Susie

  10. Oh you have to purge yourself of "stuff". I suppose it happens as you pass different points in your life. I know I'm doing it and by the way, it's sunny here as I write this as well.

  13. It's amazing how much stuff we have. When we had to clear out my parents house I thought there was no end to their stuff. It was completely overwhelming. Not looking forward to the cold at all!!!

    1. Karen, I over heard two of my daughters saying something about hoarding as they looked in my kitchen utensil drawer...I told them they were going to have to sort it when I am gone...They said , "quick put Lizzy's name on that one !!" Those darn kids. I really do not want my kids to go through what you described about your parents house....so I better get busy. Blessings for a great weekend. xoxo,Susie

  14. It is cold here too and I am not happy about it one bit. I want my warm weather back.

When I first looked at your picture I thought it was one of those hoarding shows. People do accumulate a lot of THINGS. I have way too much stuff and am doing my best to get rid of a lot of it.

  15. Oh my, our weather here is still perfect. I feel guilty but pleased that I am not living in cold weather at my age. PH sold our home in Maine..said he just could not take care of it anymore..and he is right. 3000 miles is too far to go for just a couple of weeks a year. It's time to let go of it. I was sad but I understood.
Stuff? Heavens! I need to unload so much stuff and soon. I don't want my children to have to do it. Thank you for the sweet compliment on my great granddaughter. :) That was sweet of you.

  16. Oh, it's so easy to accumulate things through the years. Remember I gave away about 10 bags when we moved? It was so nice to give away some unwanted stuff, and feels very freeing. I'm sure that's what your sister feels right now when she gave away things from her past. That was nice of you to help her move and get settled. You are such a dear sister, mother, and friend to all of us. God bless you, Susie.
