Brunch Time...

Today was our monthly classmate brunch. We were not going to have another till April.. But have decided to set up one next month, unless it snows like crazy.
Some of the ladies still live in town. Some are from around the area maybe 30 miles at most. Those that live farther away just do not attend. Some have winter homes and are already gone south.  It is always fun catching up and seeing family photos of our children and grandchildren.
Some times when everyone is talking about health issues, I feel truly blessed. I have some arthritis in my ankles and now getting into my fingers. Otherwise , I am very healthy. I will absolutely count that as a blessing.
Hope all of you had a wonderful fun weekend. I sure did. I went to the granddaughters' choir program on Saturday. Enjoyed that so very much. On Sunday, I went to brunch at my daughter Angie's. Then I helped her decorate her tree. With two of us, it went pretty fast and turned out nicely.
Today is mostly cloudy , if the sun pops out I will be smiling. :) Wishing you a nice day . XO

  1. I could use some sunshine today. It motivates me. I had a good weekend too. I didn't get to Horton's though. Did you go to an all girls school or do you ladies deliberately exclude the guys (like we do from my Purdue lunch people!)

    1. Cindy, I saw a smidge of sunshine but that was all. I went into Horton's after my brunch. I did buy a plaid pail. Brought it home and added it to my decorations. We invite Jim the fellow in charge of all our reunion photos, once in awhile. It is usually just us women. We have form 8-12 show up each time. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

    1. Diane, Some of our ladies have fought breast cancer, some have stents, one even had heart surgery. Two ladies have had knee replacements. Not from being over weight either. So I consider myself very fortunate. We have to count our blessings, xoxo,Susie

  4. What fun that you can do that with your friends of many years. January will give you something to look forward to!

I count myself as blessed, too, Susie. I have always been so healthy except for some inflammatory issues that come and go (also in my ankles). Good health is a real blessing. xo Diana

    1. Diana, It is a fun time. I hate how the arthritis has slowed me down some...but oh my gosh, I am so much stronger than most of my classmates and all of my sisters. :) That is why I try to rake leaves, shovel snow(sensibly) walk stand, do the stairs...can run them like I want to. LOL. When people say they wish they had their perfect eye sight back...I would love to run again, like a I want. That is what I miss. Blessings for always having good health, xoxo,Susie

  5. Your friendship group looks so sweet. I bet you all have a wonderful time together. We are having about the same weather gloomy and rainfilled. A little freezing rain this morning but that seems to have stopped. I guess it could be worse with snow. So no complaining here.

  8. I can only keep up with classmates through Facebook! You are blessed to be able to do that. Brunches are always fun. Today started out cloudy and cold 43 here), but the sun came out and warmed up to about 69. Spent the day with friends at the Arboretum. Very good day.

  10. Today was cold, but no rain. I was able to get around and do the things I wanted to. I am grateful -- so grateful -- for good health. A lot of conversations with friends are discussions of ailments and I am thankful I don't have much to share.
