Emma Is Here.....

My granddaughter Emma is here for a few days. So far she has just lazed around playing games on her phone and doing some drawings. We did play a couple games together.  Watched some silly Disney Channel shows. Excuse me on these programs....but not everything said in life is a zippy retort. Seems most of these shows have children saying and doing some of the zaniest things...and that is not real life. I hate it.
I see our Emma growing up so fast in maturity and height. Her legs are as long as mine. Her feet...scary. she is wearing a size 7 shoes. ...she 10 for goodness sake. She is going to be a tall girl.
I know that it's not far down the line that she will not want to come to Nana's and Papaw's house to spend time. That hurts my heart.
We will be going into town to visit with aunt Angie today. Then to the $ store for her to get some trinkets, like she needs them.  LOL. We had a couple painting crafts to do too.
Hope all of you are safe , if you are out and about this evening.  Do not drink and drive, call a  taxi, or your mom if you have too.....your mom ..no matter how old she is , or you are, will pick you up. Wishing you a Happy New Year. XO

    1. Oh I am doing my best to love our time together. Like today, I washed her hair and braided it into one long thick braid. As she was sitting in s chair I walked by and sniffed her head and told her she smelled so good...she laughed and said thank you nana. Just life and it makes me happy. I am wishing you and yours a fabulous new year. xoxo,Susie

  9. Hi Susie, I know what you mean about growing up fast. We see our granddaughters about three times a year and there is so much difference in their maturity with each visit.

  10. Hi Susie. Happy New Year and how nice to spend time with your beautiful granddaughter. They do grow up so fast and sometimes that seems like they don't want to take part in a lot of the things as they did when younger. Take heart though, our grandson is 21 and has a serious girlfriend but now is wanting to spend time with us whenever possible. Even though you think they are not only growing up but growing away. they really aren't. They just have to have a little bit of time in between....Happy New Year..Judy

  17. Emma is a cutie! I hear ya about how fast they grow up. We had our 13, almost 14 year old granddaughter, Jordyn here last night. We played games and then watched a movie. A midnight we ran outside and banged pans together. lol! It's a tradition. All of my grands are taller by me by the time they reach the age of 12. Most of my kids got their dads height. Hope you are having a nice 2015!
    hugs,
    Jann
