Birds & Flowers....

Yesterday , after my sisters and I had lunch, Brenda and Pam came out to sit on the porch with me. We enjoyed watching the birds and talking.  Here's some Golden finches.
This is a female hummingbird sitting to eat. They are so tiny. I love seeing them.
Our clematis did bloom out. I love these blooms, they don't last as long as I would like.
This is a little plant  called "blue eye". I need to transplant it again. It's getting crowded out by the pachysandra.
My sisters and I had a good time at lunch. Barbie did well but grew tired. I took her home so she could rest.  Then Pam and Brenda came out to sit and talk.  It's pleasant to just sit out on the porch and talk.  Maybe have a cool drink.   We all plan on a day next week to just spend time one on one.  I will take Barb to lunch. Pam will come and we will watch our soap opera together. Brenda and I may go to the junk store. Then I'll go have a coffee with Jeanie.   Jeanie wasn't feeling well enough for lunch yesterday. We missed her.
I hope all of you are enjoying some good weather. Let's keep our friends in our thoughts, that are having way too much rain right now. That is scary.  Bless you. XO

  1. I loved all your flowers. Yesterday my wife & I went out and bought many different types of perennials to put in the ground around out lot. I also different types of flowers to put on my deck in the backyard. I love roses and have at least 12 different rose bushes. I guess I'm boring you with that. Time to go. Have a wonderful Saturday Susie. See ya.

    1. Paul, You are so good at gardening with that many roses. I am trying to fill our flowerbeds with perennials...so there less work in spring. I love when our lawn and gardens are looking their best. But I am losing interest the older I get. One day, I see myself with one flowerpot. LOL. Blessings to you and yours, this holiday weekend, xoxo,Susie

  3. It must be fun having a bouquet of sisters! I have only one, but we know how to have some fun. Your "blue eye" looks a lot like my spiderwort. Must check that out. If I am not careful, it can get crowded out, too. Have a beautiful weekend. (I know what you mean about thinking good thoughts for those getting the truly awful weather.)

  10. The weather has been very nice overall. Today was gorgeous, a bit cool but that was ok. We have the 90's coming next week. It seems like someone just flicks a switch and turns the furnace way up!

    1. Boston Boy, we have had some crazy spring weather. The past two days have started chilly but warmed up nicely. I like sitting in the sun a short stretches. Yesterday, my sisters and I took a nice walk around their new neighborhood....which is where we lived many , many years ago. Blessings for a great holiday weekend, xoxo,Susie

  11. Susie, today I was at the park and I saw a few tiny birds gathering around a tree, and I thought they were hummingbirds but they were just small birds, not sure what kind. You must be thrilled every time you see one of those hummingbirds. They flutter about so quickly, I can never get a picture of them. But they are still my beloved bird.

Susie, you are so lucky that you and your sisters get together often. I see my sister sometimes, but she lives in another town about 30 min. away, so it's harder for us to visit.

    Have a beautiful day.

    love, ~Sheri

  12. Susie, the clematis is beautiful and so is the other flower. I love the birds and keep forgetting to hang up the hummingbird feeder. Need to write that down. It's nice having the time to visit and relax with friends. Hope your weekend is lovely. Connie

  13. We try and try to attract hummingbirds but have not been successful - yet! We saw a few down on the ranch and when we go back next month we plan to take a feeder with us!
