Extra Photos....

Monday mornings sunrise. After going out for the newspaper, I had to get my camera.
Saw that the tulip poplar tree had lost  a bloom.
This is a little closer. I love the colors of the tulip poplar  flower.  Nellie told me this is Tennessee's state tree. :)
Our clematis vine is producing many buds. Here's one opening up. I better get out with my camera today(Wed.), to get some pictures.
This is our Monday evening sunset. This was after a monsoon of a rain.  Rained so hard  it  left water standing in the fields.  We had a beautiful start and end to Monday.  Is it just me or has this month of May been crazy weather and going by so quickly?? Last week, the temperatures in the 80's and today it was 45 at 7:00 am. Brr.
I want to work in my flowerbeds, may wait till tomorrow afternoon. I could go to the post office and get some stamps. Need to send out some cards. Graduation is so near. Weddings coming up.  I am absolutely going to have a nice cup of coffee today. :)  Wishing all of you a great day. XO

  1. Beautiful sunrise! Yes, May has been a little weird with all the rain. Seems it has rained all month so far. I'm just going to wait until June to do further yard work.

    1. Hi Nonnie...I know what you are saying. I pulled weeds so long on Monday that I was sore at the class picnic yesterday. It was my squat muscle...oh my goodness, that made it hard to sit down and get back up. I may do some squats today to work out the soreness. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

    1. Gee, Paul, It's cold here today...not that 45 is so cold but after some 60-80 degree days...it feels cold. None of the flowers I planted really look so good. Blast, hoping I didn't waste my money. Here's hoping for a warm up and some decent late spring, early summer weather. Our city pool opens in 10 days. LOL. Blessings to you and yours. xoxo,Susie

  5. Your pictures are lovely, Susie. We had that same storm system come through here and dump a TON of rain..Crazy!
We don't have those tulip poplar trees here...they are pretty though..but I bet a mess when they all drop--kind of like a leaf drop in fall I would think.
I had hoped to get outside today but don't think that is going to happen. xo Diana

    1. Diana, The worse trees for trash are the catalpa (pods) the sycamore,(4-6 inch leaves) shag bark hickory(nuts) LOL... I always thought I would love lots of tall tree...lesson, tall trees are mature tree and they have way of dropping trash. Cones and pine needles here too. I save the cones from the scotch pine. I hope my flowers will grow thru summer...this spring is being rough on them. Bless you, xoxo,Susie

  6. Lovely sunrise and sunset in your neck of the woods Susie. We had a drenching rain too day before yesterday. If it hadn't been for the lightening, I think I may have gone out and danced in it :) We really needed this.
    sending hugs...

    1. June, I love when places that need rain get it. Just so it's not floods. It's not looking good thru the prairie states today. You are smart not to be dancing in lightening. I like to step out for pictures but run right in if I see lightening. Yikes. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo,Susie

  7. Beautiful pics Susie. The rain is still with us and hopefully moving out today. It is only 50 here today too. May has been pretty crazy with the 80's and then 40's. The flowers are loving all the rain but I would love some sweet summer sunshine soon. Have a great rest of the week.

  8. Isn't taking pictures fun! It's been a few weeks since I have. That could change in the next two weeks. The weather has been quite nice for the last week or so. It's another beautiful day today. This is most wonderful kind of weather. Just comfortable.

    1. Boston Boy, I love being able to get good pictures...it's hard when you really do not have an exciting life...like I do not. LOL. As boring as I am...I can only look at corn so long. LOL. You know we went fro 80 degrees to 45...that's too cool even though I do not care for 80's. LOl. Dang, I must need a vacation...I am sounding so whiny I can't stand myself. Lucky you...it won't be long before you and Arlene head off for a fun time. I know you will take plenty of photos...please. That way I get to go along. LOL. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  16. Susie,
I am having a nice cup of coffee right now, just like you said. This is such an unusual looking flower, the tulip poplar flower. Yes, it seems that May is flying by. It's my favorite month (mother's day, my birthday, my husband's birthday). There's many things going on in May. Love those sunset pictures that you take. They are just beautiful.
