Meet Bear & Lily....

You dog people will like this post. This is my sister Brenda letting my brother Steve's dogs out . This is Bear, he hardly has any legs. He makes me laugh when he runs, because at first it's like he's running in place. Not really going anywhere.  He knows how to push the button for the windows to roll down. I told my brother that's dangerous, he could fall out. My brother said he's too short to fall out. LOL.
This is Lily....she's not as sweet as Bear. But once she gets her barking over with, she 's better. I do not know the breeds. I think lily looks like a poodle. Bear just looks like a sissie in his hair cut.   My sister some times goes to let then out for a run and pee.
I felt better yesterday. Had to go to a viewing of one of my daughter's all time best friends' dad.  It was sad to see his wife hurting. She has been her husband's care giver for over a year.   He had Alzheimers.  They had both been retired for just a few short years.  Sad.  Yesterday, I read on Linda's blog, of Linda's Life Journal, this quote....What ever it is you want to do, go out and do it. There's just so many tomorrows."  I don't care what age you are, this is a true statement. Try to find some joy everyday.  It doesn't have to be as big as the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade , it can be as small as a flower budding out. Take in that moment.   XO

  1. Loved meeting the little dogs!! We haven't seen much of our Lucy since we got down here!!

Many long years ago I went through a time of mental illness. When I got my wits about me - I decided that no matter what happens to me - there is always something to be thankful for and something to be happy about. I think the saddest thing in the world would to be happy and not realize it until it was over.

Yesterday I saw another post on Facebook that I could identify with:
"I thought growing old would take longer!"

SO relieved you are feeling better and stronger everyday! Keep taking those pics! We all love them!!

    1. Linda, Your dog Lucy may be a dingo by now....she's loving the wild life. You are right about being thankful. We need to be grateful for God's beauty. I am feeling so happy , like I could walk on air...my sister is home, my daughter's well. I got good reports on my blood work, scoping and at the dentist. I am a happy Person. Bless you, xoxo,Susie

  2. How cute. I love the name Bear and Lily is like a little flower. I use to have dogs when I was young but I lost so many of them and it hurt far to much. I wasn't able to get over it so I decided not to have any more dogs. I miss my boxer, Bruno. Oh well life continues. Have a wonderful Day Susie. See ya.

  4. I read Linda's comment too and thought just as you. Life really is short. We don't think so when we are young and it's stretching out ahead of us. When I was 20 I thought 60 was so old and now here I am!

Love the pictures of the cute little doggies. They look so precious.

  5. Your brother's dogs are darling! Milo can hit the window button, too, so we lock it.

I'm so sorry about your daughter's friend. I am always sorry to hear about people retiring and then something like this happening. We can only pray for a cure.

I didn't know about your scope, Susie...I am so sorry that I've been a bad blogger. I'm sure it wasn't pleasant, I had it done years ago when I had ulcers (long story). It's good that you did. Not to be the bearer of bad stories but my late brother in law thought acid reflux was his problem but it was esophageal cancer and it was too far along. I think if anyone is popping Tums or taking Pepcid for weeks on end should get checked out.

Our weather is wonky...this has been the craziest May! I hope you have a good weekend!

    1. Blondie, Heartburn and reflux are not normal things...so they have to be watched. I take a reflux med and a cholesterol med....my Dr. says that is great for my age...so charming.LOL. The less meds I can take the better...so I have to stay healthy. We have had just right days, hot days, chilly days. Our spring is crazy. But summer is nearing, I just pray it isn't scorching hot. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  6. You are so right about "only so many tomorrows". Arlene has a min pin, Bruno. The poor little guy has gone blind. He still manages though. He's a tough little cookie.

    1. Paul, my brother had a poodle that went blind and passed away about a year later....that is how he ended up with Lily . Bear used to belong his BIL ..but they didn't take care of him and my brother took him. Hope Arlene's dog does okay. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  7. The dogs are so adorable and haha on the being too short to fall out of the window! I have one of those short ones...LOL.
So sorry about the loss and praying for his family. I know with what he had, he was gone long before now to his family. Dad was like that. He died 2 years ago but had been gone a lot longer than that.
Hope you are having a good day, and I hope everyone uses their tomorrows better because of your post.

    1. Tete, I had a friend whose father had Alzheimers , I asked if his dad knew him and he said , "No, but I go to visit because I remember him". I thought that was so sweet. I wish I could slow my tomorrows done a bit. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  8. Hi Susie, Well I believe Bear is either a Llaso-Apso or a Maltese and Lily definitely looks like a Bichon(they resemble Poodles). You are right, we need to cherish every day because we don't know what tomorrow may bring.
    Have a good Friday!

    1. Nellie, I think with my kid sister having that stroke...it makes me even more aware of how short our lives can be. I am so thankful my sister is home now. She still has to rest and limit her visitors and anxiety. I am just happy she is recovering. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

    1. Thank you BJ, that is so nice of you . My brother's "Bear" isn't much of a bear looking or acting dog. I laughed about his name the first time I heard it. That dog is adorable ...I prefer him over Lily...you have to let Lily sniff your hand , then she stops barking. Dogs certainly do have a character. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
