Texas Pal...

The fourth lady from the left, just came back to town from Texas.  Pam was home to visit and we all tried to meet up for another classmate brunch. Nine of us made it.  I took this picture , never thought of asking our waitress to do it.  It was fun.
I remember Pam being in most of my grade school classes...as we were from the same neighborhood for a long time. She could play "jacks" better than anyone in the class in 5th grade. LOL.... That seems an eon ago.
Today is sunny and pretty. Hoping it stays this way for a few days....please.  Ted is mowing the lawn, after the fertilizer it is truly growing. He may have to mow again before the week is over.:):)
My weekend went by so quickly. I enjoyed it very much.  Hope all of you had some joy too. XO

  3. What a nice bunch of ladies. My sister put together a group of gals we grew up with and they meet once a month and call themselves "The Lunch Bunch", I attended a lot of them before we moved to So. CA...Now I really miss the gals. Unfortunately, because of our age, several of of our friends have passed.

    1. Linda, I had a best friend , her name was Ruth Ann too. When she got remarried she never came around any more. I used to see her once in a while when we worked. Then My long time friend Carolyn passed away 3 years ago...I miss her the most. Some of these ladies never really socialized with me in school...mainly cause mommy never allowed us kids to go anywhere. Too busy baby sitting our siblings.LOL. those darn kids. !! LOL. Hope you and LD are well, love you, Susie

  6. What a fun time together! Thankfully, we only have to cut our grass every 2 weeks. We found a young man to cut it while our heat is so extreme. Hope you have a restful night. xoxo

    1. Blondie, I would think that the Cracker Barrel probably sells "jacks" in the store area. They always have old fashioned candies and toys. It used to be such fun to play them at recess. I do not think my grands would know what they are. LOL. Hope you are getting along well. xoxo,Susie

  10. Hi Susie, How nice that you are still in contact with friends from grade school. I just heard from a gal that I went to grade school & high school with-she wants to see me when we come back to our old town-just don't think I'll have enough time. It's been 23 yrs since I last saw her. Thanks for sharing, have a great afternoon.

  11. Oh, what fun, Susie. It's always so good to see you get together with your class mates. When you talked about "jacks" I smiled, as I used to be pretty good at it too back in the day.

I hope it stays sunny for you for awhile, Susie. It's been too hot here, but enjoying it just the same. Good for Ted for keeping up with the yard. It always looks so nice.

    1. Hi Susie, It has been fun talking with my classmates. Good to see those that are rarely here. Sad to think of so many gone already from our class. Our grass is growing from all the rain and fertilizers. Hope you are having a good summer. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  14. All my classmates are scattered over the country. I'll bet you had fun.
There's plenty of free fertilizer around right now, what with the elections and all.
