Some Left-Overs.....

Some photos from my zoo trip. This beautiful bald eagle. He was staying in his shady place .
A wallaby. She seemed so calm .
Oh my little pny...so darn cute. If I owned this pony , I would walk him a round like a dog and all the other dogs would be so jealous....cause he is so cute. :):)
Speaking of cute...just look at this little goat face.
Have you ever gotten up in the mornings and your hair is standing up. I call this chicken hair. I have it  many mornings. LOL
A couple things from Horton's. I really like this old buffet .
One of the many pieces of jewelry . Very nice silver bracelet.
flowers in the displays around the market day event.
I really thought these yellow petunias were very pretty.
My hostas are in bloom around the base of this tulip poplar tree.
In one of the garden pots. I had to plant in pots to try to have flowers where rabbits would not eat them. So many bunnies this year.
Hope all of you are loving your summer days. We have had enough rain , but it keeps coming. Yesterday was horribly humid. I am ready for some pleasant porch sitting...it won't be in this heat.  Good wishes to all of you. XO

    1. Thank you Connie. I love to see everyone's yards and flower gardens. If it were not humid these days would be so much more enjoyable. I love summer...but the humidity wears me out. LOL. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

  2. I enjoyed all of these photos, Susie. We pass a little pony in a nearby pasture and I have named her Farrah because of her blond "hair-style!" lol
I am indoors in the a/c looking out at our porch and wishing I could sit out there but the heat/humidity are too bad today. Wishing you a nice day. xo

    1. Mildred, I love your pony's name. I have seen a pony small as a Great Dane dog. Thankful for A.C. but I truly love to open windows and enjoy the fresh air, don't you? I wilt in the humidity. LOL Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

  5. Susie, these animal pictures are so cute. The Zoo is one of my favorite places to visit. This little wallaby and goat are precious. There are so many lovelies at Horton's. I LOVE THIS BRACELET! I would definitely get it if I lived close by. The words are so special.

Yes, I've been enjoying the summer days, but it's been so hot, and I heard there have been several fires in California, which is scary (in the southern and central areas). Pray that none come my way. : )

I have truly enjoyed that little zoo in Lafayette, Indiana...that's where Purdue University is located.
Hortons' was extra fun this time...I got to meet up with Kris from Junk Chic Cottage. Also I saw Donna Jenkins , the lady that made me want to blog. :):) That was a sweet bracelet.. Blessings to you for a great weekend,,xoxo, love, Susie

    1. Debbie, That pony was so cute and clean. I think the animals get bathed pretty good in the petting part of the zoo. Kids love that they can tough the animals...there's hand washing stations and sanitizers too. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Carol, I like how big that sign is...it would be nice in a big old fashioned kitchen. Hope you are loving your summer and not having too much rain there. Bless you, xoxo, Susie

  9. My bed hair looks a lot like that, with curls added in. The problem is that one day last week I forgot to brush it and a few hours later our neighbor came to the door. Oh well.

I too would love to have a pony to walk with, wouldn't that be fun! Probably should take a few old grocery bags with me to pooper-scoop after a pony.

We've been thinking about planting hostas under a beautiful tulip poplar. I wonder if that would disturb the roots? Probably not.

A good summer day to you, Susie,

    1. Dewena, LOL, that pony poo would be good fertilizer...so I would dump it on some flowers. LOL. Can you even imagine? I don't know if the Hosta roots would get deep enough to hurt the tree. They just do so well in the shade of the tree.:) I hope you are having sweet summer days. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  10. I love going to the zoo, and haven't been in years. Loved your cute little animals. I had to laugh at the chicken..My brother raised those kinds of chickens years ago, and he had one that looked just like the one you showed. He named her Tina Turner. HaHa.

    1. Wanda, I laughed out loud about Tina Turner. LOL...so funny. When I was young and went to the state fair...I did not know chickens came in so many colors and styles. It was a learning experience for a city girl. Most of my daughter chickens are the Rhode Island Reds. I think. Blessings for a fun filled weekend. Hard to believe it's here already. xoxo, Susie

    1. Gert, So happy to hear from you. I have been enjoying our trips to that little zoo. Our grass has been growing since the rains...so Ted has to mow more often. It's the humidity that making me nuts...I can't take the heavy heat . I do hope everyone who needs rains gets some of it. and that we gets some low humidity days to enjoy being outside.
