Pumpkin Patch Time......

Yesterday was time for my daughter Liz's family to go to the pumpkin patch. She asked me to come along. But I was not sure I could do so much walking  on bumpy grounds.  So I declined.
This is one of the pictures Liz sent  from  the patch. Lots of gourds to chose from.
A cute entrance with the hours. Most of the pictures  I received were too dark. Some didn't even download. Grrr.
I know that Layla, in her princess dress ,went along with her parents  Brock and Emily. Look at her chocolaty face. :):) She is sweet enough without  a chocolate coating.
This is after the boys, Max and Luke got home from a long day. Lynzie and Mark took them to the patch also. The boys do a lot of snuggling it seems.  Luke always smiles when Max is around. These are my favorite pumpkins .
The leaves are falling around here and yet we do not have much color.  The farmers are harvesting quickly because rains are on the way, possibly this evening. I am hoping the corn around here gets taken in soon. I want to wash my windows. They are so dirty from the bean dust. :(  Washing windows is still a chore, but it's easier with a bucket ( tall trash can) with water/vinegar mix, and a long handled  squeegee and paper towels. :)
Hope all of you are enjoying this  wonderful weather. Well  it's nice here in Indiana .  Wishing you a beautiful Sunday. XO

    1. Jo, You know we love the great grandbabies. I wish I could see them everyday. I often wonder...what happens to all the pumpkins and gourds after Halloween and thanksgiving time. I hope they are fed to goats and such. I fed our out of season pumpkins to the neighbor's goats one winter. I also raked the neighbor's apples to feed them. Blessings to you sweet Jo. xoxo, Susie

  4. Oh, the pumpkin patch, how fun! I used to go every year, Susie, even when my kids were grown, but it's been a few years since I've been. That one Pink pumpkin looks like a Cinderella pumpkin. The boys are precious napping next to each other. And Layla is such a cutie. Is she going to be a Princess for Halloween?

The leaves are falling here also, and it was so cold this morning when I went to church. : ) Can you believe October is almost over, Susie?

    1. Sheri, It seems you miss your children being small and in your home , as I do. Yes, Layla wants to be a princess all the time. LOL. Emma and Savannah used to be that way. Oh how I miss them even. Time is flying young lady...once Jess has her baby, it will seem even faster. I do hope you are near enough to her to visit and love on the baby. Blessings to all, love, xoxo, Susie

    2. Yes, I do miss them small and running around in our home. I think it's because I was a stay-at-home mom, and watched them all day, every day. Then, one day they turned 19, and were on their own haha. Now, I'm looking forward to grandbaby, and Yes, I'm not too far from Jess. : ) It will be nice to go to the pumpkin patch again with a little one.

    1. Honey, I used to let God wash the window more often when I worked. LOL. I love not have drapes or curtain pulled across my window...but then I can see the dirt..oh my , they are very dirty. Maybe another two weeks. Even tho I have found an easy way to wash them...I sure don't want to do it twice in a short period . LOL. Oh yes, I adore our families little pumpkins to pieces. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, Susie

  9. It has been years since I was at a pumpkin patch. I used to love to go on hayrides through there. Oh to be young and able to walk again. Your grands are just too adorable for words.

    1. Kathy, Honey I know the meaning of good feet...since mine hurt so much. I do okay and can even run short spurts...But walking too long or standing long periods kills my feet. I thank you for the sweet words of my g.grands. I do love those babies. Hope your day was good. It's clouding up of course it's near dark. We will be having low temps and rain the next couple days. I pray we aren't heading into an early winter. Bless you, xoxo, Susie

Your little snuggling pumpkins are daring, an so is "chocolate" Miss.

    I haven't seen a pumpkin patch where we live yet...they better hurry...haha

  17. These are the sweetest pics of the babies! I love visiting the pumpkin patch, too but I would not want to do a lot of walking. We had about 3.5 inches of rain overnight and now we are enjoying clear skies and a nice breeze. I need to clean windows, too!

    1. Mildred, There's many things that I have to think about my ankles hurting, then can't go and do. I am just glad the children can . They did enjoy their outing. Wow, that was a lot of rain. We have had rain all day. I do not know when I will get to my windows. This rain is getting some of them clean. :):) Blessings, xoxo, Susie
