This Past Week....

Started my week off in the Tax office.  Cost more for preparing and I had to pay the state another hundred dollars.  Not such a good start...but wait it got worse.
Not feeling well on Tuesday, called the doctor. Got an appointment for Wednesday morning. I did not know if it was flu or pneumonia...too scary to take a chance.  It was an upper respiratory infection.  Dr. calls in a script. I go straight to CVS.
Everyone behind the counter is coughing ..yikes, where are your masks??? The lady that calls my name to wait on me is clutching her chest and gasping for breathe. I think she may be having a heart attack. I say ," Ma'am are you okay?" She says she is fine. I get my script and tell her she may need a break.  Honestly  I have never seen anything like it
Thursday, I wake up and my teeth are hurting where I always tell Dr. Mike they hurt.  I just had them cleaned on the 6th.  Three x-rays and Mike finds nothing.   Tells me it is probably the sinus infection I have.  Could be, but honestly, I feel there's something going on with my teeth and I think I'll get one of those 3-D x-rays soon.  Or say to heck with it and wait till I am a screaming loonie in the E.R. one night.  It was  a rough week.  Half scared to go anywhere. Got to get over this infection. Sure would like to know what happened to the pharmacist at CVS.
Here was a sweet shiny spot for all of us this week.  Savannah won some awards at the honors banquet in her school . That made me happy. She is wonderful young lady.  You go girl.
Hope all of you have a great weekend. Stay healthy. XO

    1. Susie, I wash my hands and wipe things down with disinfectant till I am wore out. LOL I know as we age our immune systems are not as strong, so I really did not want to chance having something serious...but when we are old it's all serious. I always think of you Susie and pray you can get better each day. Blessings with love, stay strong, xoxo, Susie

  5. Sorry you’ve been sick. That is crazy that the people at the pharmacy are sickly- talk about spreading the germs quickly to the public! I was thinking that you probably clench your teeth at night and are causing the ache that you are feeling. The fact that you are waking up with that feeling is a good sign. I had a bad spell of that at one point and had a mouth guard made to help- and it did. I have had my upper teeth feel irritated when I’ve had a bad sinus infection but if you were having the problem before the sinus infection I’d consider the idea that it’s from clenching.

    1. Liz, I was so astounded by the pharmacy workers.I almost want to report them. I guess I will get my own gloves and masks to wear when going there. Oh I do think there's times I clench my jaws shut tight. This sinus infection is new to me, never had it before. The dr. said I should be good come Monday. Blessings to you, hope all is well. xoxo, Susie

    1. Doris, I am glad all's well there. :) I sure was trying to stay that way myself. When I think of the pharmacy, well no wonder people are getting sick, they freely spread it around. It too scary. 200 people have died from the flu in our state. Stay healthy, blessings , xoxo, Susie

  7. I hope you feel lots better this weekend. I had something going on with my teeth a few years ago. They hurt...and I couldn't even tell which one hurt most. My dentist did all the tests and then sat down to ask me about stress. (at the time it was off the charts) He said I was grinding my teeth in my sleep. I could have worn a guard but instead I learned to stop. I was aware of it and able to stop. Hope you figure out something my friend. Hugs, Diane

  10. I wish people who are sick would stay home. I had one bout of the flu and I don't want anymore. I wore a mask when I went to see the doctor and when I went to the drug store. I then stayed home. Hope you start to feel better. A sinus infection can definitely make your teeth hurt. xo Laura

  11. CVS can be a giant pain when it comes to prescriptions. I should never have given my phone number or my email address. It was so easy at Osco. I'd walk in, show the pharmacist the bottle, leave it on the counter. He would nod in acknowledgment, and I'd tell him I'd be back tomorrow. Simple as that. CVS would call two days before to "remind me" then they would call the day I was to pick up the medicine. Perish the thought if you could not make it on that day! It was the same with the emails except there they would also try and sell you other things as well.
OK. After all my whining I hope you feel better Suzie.

We certainly need an early Spring followed by a great summer to kill all these bugs and see some warmth and sunshine. Congrats to Savannah what a great honor.

  13. Gosh Susie, not a good week at all! I hope you are feeling better. I have to tell you that once I had a terrible toothache on a Sunday. I was in so much pain that I finally called my dentist. He had me meet him at the office. I felt so stupid when he said that my teeth were fine and it was my sinuses. He had me go home and stand over a pot of boiling water with a towel over my head for 15 min. then he had me follow with an ice pack for another 15 min. After doing this once the pain was gone. Those crazy sinuses!! Congrats to Savannah!

  14. It is a very scary time with this flu---best to get it checked out. My grandson was admitted to the hospital, but it was asthma. Papa, too, but a different flu.

I worry with my terrible immune system. I've always been good about germ infection. Yet hubby comes home coughing, and I have to remind him to cover his mouth.

Take care. I have a post up about this flu.

  20. Oh no. Hope you feel better soon. The last time My Shug went to the Dr. the pa coughed while talking to him and did not cover her mouth! I just had a tooth capped and it is sensitive. Had it capped two weeks ago. See if your teeth quit hurting when you feel better. So many nerves in our face. I think they become inflamed. I have the same problems. I think my dentist has one of those 3D X-ray machines. I might be able to get you in. Hope you are on the mend.

    1. Cindy, I do believe we are going to have to retrain grown people about covering while coughing and sneezing. Cindy girl, I am pryaying it's my sinuses making my teeth hurt....But I have complained about these teeth for over a year. Something's amiss. Is your dentist in Kokomo? I have seen a dentist there that has a machine in Carmel for 3-D xrays. Two hundred dollars for each xray. Money up front too. Crazy isn't it. Hope your sensitivity goes away. Bless your heart, love, xoxo, Susie

    2. Susie,
You can’t RE-train people who were never taught to begin with! I understand exactly what you are going through with your teeth. I went to my dentist several years ago for pain. I can’t even go into all of it here. I have since gotten a new dentist. And yes he is in Kokomo. And I’m wondering if you went to an endodontist in Carmel that has an office in Kokomo for your 3D x Ray. (Prather, Tate, and can’t remember the third one).

    3. Yes, Cindy, It is that group dentist. Dr. Alin is the third one, the one I've seen. I go one of these mornings to see what he thinks. Hope he helps me..I swear if he finds something, I have whined about...I may have to stop seeing my own dentist. You know some do the surgery and then pass you back to your regular dentist for the work on the tooth. Just another shake down, it's starting to feel like. I am hoping I can hang on for awhile.
