Lots Of Changes....

Oh please allow me to show this same photo of Monday morning's snow.
By Monday afternoon, the very same day, the snow had melted. I have never seen anything like this Do you see that spot of white , it's snow. April the 2nd.
On April the 3rd, Tuesday, It rained the entire day and later there were tornado warnings issued. Plus many flood warnings. Our sump pumps came on for a few hours.
Wednesday, April the 4th. A skiff of snow. It blew in and lined the drives, tree bases, but did not stay.  It was plenty cold, the wind was fierce.
This Thursday morning, April the 5th. The sun was out and you can see the grass is becoming very green. It was a nice morning.
I heard a chopper going over and took this shot. I love , love, love  machines of flight. I did enjoy the clear sunny morning. The clouds are moving in this afternoon. Some snow may come in but it can not last...because it truly is spring, even tough it sure does not feel like it.

This photo is from this past autumn. Ted brought this trailer to our yard so he could work on it for his sister.
This is what it looked like when it arrived. A big tin can with blown in insulation, and wiring..Nothing else.
Ted started lining the walls and building walls also.
Put in cabinets to store things  These are built  in over the wheel well.
Here's part of the bathroom. Dorothy(Ted's sister) found this wee sink made of Teak, so Ted installed it for her in the bath. There's a shower and soon a stool will be in place. You would not believe all the measuring and the steps in and out of this trailer that Ted has made . So many patterns to be made to accomplice all this. You know that old adage , Measure twice, cut once. Well somethings needed measured many times.
Like this counter top. This is the kitchen area. A two burner stove and a small sink. The faucets are not  on yet. But it's work-work-work. The drawer under the stove will work as that stove is that shallow. But the sink will have a false drawer front.  Ted's sister will be staining all the wood colored items , once that trailer is back at her house.  Once it's all finished here, I will get more pictures. Ted did tell his sister, never again. LOL.
You all know that  cat that was dropped off here. We named her Stormy, she came here on a rainy day.  She goes in the trailer and hangs out with Ted. She is so funny, I call her Ted's shop cat. :)
Wishing all of you a great evening. XO

  1. Hi Susie, Seems like forever since I've come by; not intentional mind you(I love visiting), but just busy. We've had the same type of weather at home-warm spring days one day and snow the next. In fact, I think our area is supposed to get snow tomorrow. For now, I'm enjoying Kauai. Your hubby has done such a great job on the camper. Well done. Great name for the cat.

    1. Laurie, I have never seen a four inch snow melt that fast in my whole life. Yes, Ted and the cat are pals now. I did not want to keep her and he did...so she stays in the shop on bad days. Litterbox and all. LOL Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Lisa, If you ever buy a trailer...you may want to think hard about it if it needs work. The reason Ted is doing this for his sister...places that do this work told us they charge 100 dollars an hour plus materials. Yikes. Dorothy is happy but keeps bring up ideas...it's like she wants Ted to pull a rabbit out of a hat. So he had to tell her how many times he had to rework an idea to get it in. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  4. I'm not sure which is more amazing, the quick changing weather or the transformation of the little trailer - what a glorious job! Everything is so clever. Enjoy your spring weather - ours here in NW WA is cold and rainy - we had some hail storms but mostly just that soaking, cold rain - every day every day every day - and the same is forecast for at least 10 more days - temps around 45 for highs and 38 for lows - Oh for some spring!!!!

  7. Looks like you are getting a huge variety of different weather, all within a few days, LOL. That's Springtime for you.
Love the trailer and all that he's doing to it. His sister must be overjoyed. We built a cabinet in our sailboat once and it was a challenge. Anytime that you are working with walls that curve and are not square it's very hard to measure.
Interesting post . . . have a super sweet week.

    1. Connie...girl you hit the nail on the head...trying to measure and fit things into this curvy bendy trailer is a magic act. That is why there's so much measuring. I help Ted talk it thru and draw up plans...it takes that at times. Thank goodness the cabinets are store bought and fitted to work. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  25. Susie, we have seen a bit of craziness like this weather wise too. We woke up to snow one morning. By late afternoon we were able to mow the lawn. It's nice one day and then raining the next. I figure it gives my body time to recoop between doing spring clean up. lol! Not as young as I use to be, that's for sure! Love the trailer, and how cute is the name stormy?

I just do not wash the walls and woodwork down any more. I do a few things here and there all year long so it's not all at once. I am ready to take the curtains down and wash windows. OH where oh where is my maid...the one I thought I would have once I retired. LOL. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, Susie
