This Week......

Ted has his mustache back . His hair is returning also.  Today was his last day of  the milder chemo. He had no side effects...as of yet. I am praying he has none. When he had the other chemos it took a while before the side effects showed up.  Ted's number are still very good. He looks very good here.
The door you see is the infusion entrance.  I love the glass walls. They have a scene etched in them, like trees, cattails and streams.
Here is the self playing piano , roped off...to discourage people from playing it. LOL
I sat on this long seating and read papers today. I also went to the chapel. I really like sitting in it. I could not sit  with Ted, today.  This was the second day that there was no place to sit in the infusion room,  to be with your loved ones.. But Ted's okay, as he works his crossword and sudoku puzzles, while getting his chemo.

Yesterday a pretty robin came by. He was poking around in the porch flowerpots. Looking for a treat of sorts.  I have seen many robins hoping in the yard. I love them so much. Their sweet song means spring to me.
Wishing all of you a wonderful weekend.  Be safe. XO

  1. He sure does look good! Glad that things are going well and praying that they keep right on. You couldn’t sit with Ted because the spaces were all taken? Wow. Glad he can keep himself busy.

    1. Vee, The infusion area is not large and it was full of patients and they sit in recliners and there are only so many chairs for guest. So when Ted gets there for his treatment(they scheduled) no chairs were left. After we leave the hospital, we go to lunch, nothing fancy, but we are together. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

    1. Doris, The infusion room is not very large...by the time Ted's treatment is scheduled , it's packed in there. He seems so much happier than on Monday. I am so grateful too. I could never play piano, although I always wished I could. I have one granddaughter who took lessons and can play a little. Blessings to you and your family, enjoy your weekend, xoxo, Susie

    1. Susie, I thought Ted's color was so much better too. He has always tried to stay up beat. I do hope he has no side effects. It usually take about 4-5 days to be sure. Thank you dear friend for your prayers and well wishes. It's been a tough winter and we are not finished yet. It is exhausting. But I know everyone's prayers have helped us and God is with us all the time. It did my heart good to see that robin, it was like it was spring....I have seen so many pairs already hoping in the yard. I love them so much. Blessing to you Susie. Hope we have some wonderful spring days. Won't it be nice to open the windows. :) Love you , xoxo, Susie

    1. Hi Jo, I am happy it is near to spring. Today is more like it too. Sunshine all day. I have been loving watching the robins. My daughter came over and brought us lunch. She is a bird watcher and spotted a bluebird in the back. I am so glad I cleaned out the bluebird house. Thank you so much for your prayers. We are grateful. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

    1. Hi My dear friend. Debbie, my daughter Liz had her yearly check up and everything was good. She did have to have a D&C. the results were good there too.
Now my Ted...praying no side effects. He should be hearing from the bone marrow group soon. The cancer Dr. wants Ted to hurry and get it done...but the group has said it may take 8 weeks. So Ted may another of the milder chemos to keep in remission. So much to learn and do ..all of it is mind boggling. Thank you for your prayers. You are in mine. Blessings, xoxo, love you, Susie

  13. Oh, I know your hubby is happy to have some hair coming back. That seems to be a real perk me up for those going through chemo. Also glad that you have that lovely chapel to rest and reflect in...along with other pleasant places while you wait. Love the robin. I hope you will soon have lovely spring flowers and sunny, warm days. Please take care and God bless you both.

  14. Susie, it's so good to see that smile, and the mustache! I just read over Tuesday's post too and am so surprised at what seems like an unnecessary trip for Ted and you. But so proud of you both for just staying on the path of moving on to the next step. One day and week at a time back to seeing Ted return to blooming health in the future. At which time I hope you both can take a little vacation to just take some days to do whatever makes you both happy and relaxed.

Sending love, prayers and blessings to you both,
    Dewena

  15. Hi Susie, Ted looks really good- healthier than he did when we saw him last Fall, I think.

Is that St. Joe's hospital? I think I know where that long bench is..is it down by the Starbucks place?

Praying that Ted continues to do well and has NO side effects from the chemo this time.

Looking forward to seeing you in a couple of weeks if it works out.

Love to you and Ted- xo Diana

  16. I'm glad everything is looking good with Ted, Susie. I hope he does well with this last treatment. Oh, the Robin came by and said hello. I love this bird and its bright orange belly. That must have been comforting for you to see. I just saw one at the trail recently and it made my day. It has been warm the last few days, but I heard more rain this week and into the weekend. Spring isn't here to stay yet. : )

    1. Sheri, You would have laughed on Saturday seeing our snow. It started little flakes, came faster and covered everything and about two hours later it melted completely....now that is my favorite snow so far. LOL. Now this past week has brought lots of robins out in the yard. Hopping and singing so sweetly. Ted did well with that chemo and it was so much easier to just go to the town south of here than all the way to Indy in their insane traffic. Ted looks great with his mustache back. Blessings to you , stay safe. Love you, xoxo, Susie
