Harvesting .....

There's been lots of soybean harvesting happening in our county. The big fields on the corner are done. They stir up dust and pests.  Can not sit out , things bite. My daughter calls them "No see'ums"

My daughter Liz came over on Wednesday . She brought Lynzie , Max and Luke.  Ted and I wore masks, we sat outside. We watched the boys play hop-scotch and a game that Lynzie draws for them on driveways in chalk. They have lily pads to jump on, bear tracks to bear crawl and dinosaur tracks to stomp and roar.. The boys took their shoes off of course and started to get to quick. Luke falls down and bumps his head and I tell Lynzie, take him in and wash him up. She did not want to germ up the house, so sad. I told her, I will wipe things down. It's ok. Washed Luke and an ice pack on his noggin and he was good to go.

Speaking of Luke, I want to ask for prayers for our little fellow. He was to have polyps removed from his sinuses last week. His dr. got Covid...so Luke's surgery will be on the 30th. He had to has a covid test Yesterday. Lynzie tries to prepare him  for any medical procedures. She told him he was to get his nose and throat tickled. He said, "Not today mommy, that hurts."  Lynzie had to hold him down for the nurse to swab his nose. Poor Luke. The polyps are one of the things that can happen with Cystic Fibrosis.  So will you please send good thoughts and or prayers for our Luke.  We all truly appreciate your kindness.

Seems more places are opening up. Yet, my granddaughters' school has closed due to three positive covid cases. Go figure.  So please be safe . XO

    1. My heart has ached since the children were here. To hear Luke's voice , as if he is all stuffy in his nose. It s caused by the polyps. It hurts me. I wish I could do so much more for him. I send the greats cards with sticker and a dollar for their banks every now and then. It's just to create a memory of papaw and I for them. They do remember too. Thank you so much for your kind prayers. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Sue, Seeing Max , who will be 5 in Dec. and Luke who is 3...did our us so much good. They asked things and talk like they are interested in what you say. So funny at times. I always use a germ cleaning mix to wipe the doors , handles, knobs or anything that has a flat surface . LOL I smell of bleach all the time. But it was so nice to see the boys. Blessings and thank you for your thoughts and prayers. xoxo, Susie

  5. Does Luke have C.F.? I am so sorry! We watched a little girl, Ella, who had C.F. From the time she was born till she was 7. So I learned a lot about it. I will say a special prayer for him, and the upcoming surgery. and for him to have peace and not be so scared. How old is he? Your first picture is beautiful!! We have the noseeums, and I have been bit quite a lot this year!

    1. Yes, Ginny, our Luke has C.F. He is a three years old. Has been for tests and stays in the hospital a few times in his short 3 years. He has one of those vests and wears it. I just learn last year about distancing children with C.F. Our granddaughter Lynzie is a R.N. She and her husband are great parents. But I always worry for Luke's health. Thank you for the prayers.
Oh those biting things make me crazy. I need to stain the deck floors and I do not want to if those bugs are out. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

I can only imagine the dust coming across the fields from the harvest. We seem to be having more than opur fair share of dust this time of the year, a little more rain would help methinks.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend Susie, time is marching on, it will be Christmas before we know it !

    1. Linda, I know that God did not want us to be so lonely. It was so fun to watch the great grandsons playing and listening to the giggles. Luke is 3 and so brave at that young age. Some times his mommy promises him a donut for being brave and it just makes him smile so big. Ted is a bit strong, even just a tiny bit each new day. His counts were really good except for his platelets. But I am sure they will rise soon. Thanks for always praying for us here. It means the world to us. Blessings to all of you. Love you guys, xoxo, Susie

I know one person that tested positive for it but never showed signs and everyone including her boyfriend tested negative. Yet we still stay aware and away from people.

We've no new cases of the virus here in New South Wales- and they are even thinking of having the New Years Fire Works for Sydney Harbor...we're lucky - though we take all the recommended precautions.
